I don't particularly care much about this game...but it's worth noting that Joe Saunders was 0-6 vs. Texas and had an ERA like 9.00 something in his career against Texas with every player in the Texas lineup having great numbers against him. And you saw how that turned out. Past numbers matter very little. If anything, I would have a slight lean toward Oakland.

Yes it is worth noting---But it's also worth noting that Texas got their hits they just couldn't string them together to put up runs-it's quite another thing to expect a team to get hits & create offence vs a guy they usually get dominated by. For Baltimore to beat Texas Saunders had to pitch well in a situation where he usually struggles & he did it he pitched his way out of jam after jam until baltimore's offence showed up.For the A's to beat Detroit
Verlander will have to pitch poorly it could happen but I'm not going to put money on it.
