Not sure what to make of Kohlscreiber at the moment... Kicker looked amazing in the first set and Kohl had no answers. I had something on so I missed the second and third sets but he must've turned it on then.

Yeah odd start to him in this tournament, usually he's a reliable guy to back in Germany/Europe/Clay and Grass but sometimes obviously it's tougher. Olivo? Ive seen his last few games and hes been going about business well. More then happy to take that big line.

3 game handicaps are always so tough and more often then not with my luck if I back the favourite it usually goes 5 sets with them losing.

Surprised you're not jumping on more this evening, Jeff! Hope Melzer does well on his return - shocked me a bit with his Davis Cup performance, I must admit.

Honestly I scanned through the damn draw of the European ones several times and didn't find a whole lot I liked. Might do them in the later rounds as the mugs are weeded out.
Washington has a good draw though hopefully will post a play or two for it later

Actually considered all of those myself, especially Anderson considering the h2h record. I hate basing plays directly on h2h records, but when Kevin hasn't lost to Thiem, yet he's the outsider, it makes me interested. Couldn't bring myself to do it in the end because I think Thiem IS a lot better than when they last met, but it's certaintly tempting.

Muller's line looks amazing because he's got a solid serve and Djokovic doesn't generally cover in early rounds, but I've learnt the hard way not to fade Novak because nothing is safe if he's on.

As a side note, can't believe Fognini was $3.5 yesterday. Amazing.

Even just a 4.5 line ain't bad even taking into account the potential of three sets.
That said Fognini is always worth taking more so as a dog then he ever is as a fav but I guess most think like that.

As for Anderson and Thiem it reminds me of his and Stans matchup. For some reason can't break him in best of three.
Have noticed that Thiem is a slow starter on hards sometimes like last year but this time around he's had a proper break which can help too.

I have a feeling that the 21.5 will come back to bite me like Sock's WTA like effort against Stan in the second set but I feel that's too low for a 'anything can happen' against Kei type of game..

I don't really blame you for taking the overs in the Wawrinka match... quite a few things pointed to it. The one thing that stopped me was that I was worried one of the two would blow the other away, and I couldn't be sure which way it would go. In the end it worked in my favour because I have a futures bet on Stan to reach the final, but unlucky for you.

Yeah at some point the trends will change and the bubble will burst. Anderson was pretty good in his other matches but even not just a one sided score but a very one sided score was surprising

Sad thing is I was confident enough in Monfils to make it my only play. Sometimes when thinks look too good to be true they aren't. Played well in North America all year even including before clay but wasn't able to put it together today.

Novak won a title without getting out of second gear, that's a scary thing for the rest of the field. That said he didn't have to.
He'll want that gold to make up for Wimbledon.

Kei looks legit too despite some unspectacular slam results, anyone see him playing for a medal even if it's the bronze?

If Novak plays at top gear, he'll win, no question. But I'm not sure that he will, especially with the US. I'm not laying down big on the olympics for this reason, but I've got a small amount on Nadal, because he's the only one that's publically come out and said that the Olympics is a big event and he really wants to win it. Motivation is three quarters of the battle.

You're right about Kei. He could probably beat anyone other than Novak and Murray at the moment.

Fox Sports reporting that Nadal is himself not even sure if he will play despite the Olympics being several days away, very bizzarre. Says he has practised here and there, and feels alright but also feels underdone. Whatever that means haha
Probably his last chance to play but already has one medal

Underdone as in undercooked? Too raw?
