That is what they have said in their email to you. I fully agree that it is not specified in their Ts and Cs and that they appear to be acting in bad faith.

That's pretty unethical. But I think you may use the points 1 and 3 in your advantage. Since they're in contradiction, the antecedent is false and it implies anything. Both (F=>F) and (F=>T) are true.
