Darvish & Hamels pretty good 1-2 punch.

Harrison is dogshit. He's beyond damaged goods. Getting rid of his $28m in salary is an absolute bonus.
I subscribe to the "whoever gets the best player in the deal wins the trade" theory. And as y'all know...I have a major fukkin clue.
We got Cole Freakin' Hamels.
We win.

Seems like you may know even less about baseball than you do football.
You get one of the very top pitchers in MLB under contract for 4 years, plus a 96 mph lefty reliever....and still manage to keep your top 2 sluggers in your farm system. As well as unloading an aging pitcher coming off of spinal fusion surgery making $28 million.
Anyone who can't see that's a win is either stupid, or an eagles fan.
Forgive me for being redundant.
Enjoy Sanchez to Cooper.

This trade has very little bearing on this year. While I agree the Rangers are still in contention for the Wild Card, they're not real contenders this year.
This trade was made because you get an absolute ELITE pitcher signed to your team for 4 years. This wasn't your typical "rental" at the deadline. This trade makes the Rangers significantly better for 2016 and several years after. A rotation of Darvish, Hamels, Holland, Perez, Chi-Chi/Colby looks pretty good where I'm sitting.
As I said, I subscribe to the best player in the trade theory. Hamels is clearly that. But if we're gonna be honest....let's all check back here in 3 years and then we'll actually know who won this one.
