Yes, they had all off-season to prepare for that last Thursday. This one tonight is a bit of a new animal, never had Thursday night games this early in the season so teams not as beat up as usual and if smart would have spent some time preparing for it in the off season. 1. Starting the season 0-2 with both losses being division HOME losses is basically a death sentence, especially in this division. Could they technically lose tonight and finish 14-2? Sure. Realistically though if they lose tonight, will they make the playoffs? Nope.


2. This isn't the Pittsburgh secondary, or defense as a whole, of years past. They're living largely off their reputation in my opinion.


3. Thunderstorms are also bad for Ben and his ability to pass. Which leaves us with the run game. Baltimore has the slight edge in this department when comparing offenses. However, they have the huge edge on the defensive side of the ball. Bell is not gonna just have his way with this Baltimore defense, especially if it's raining and everyone knows the run is coming. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh gave up almost 200 yards on the ground last week to Cleveland. Baltimore, on the other hand, allowed the Bengals a very stingy 79 yards. The Ravens are praying for rain.


4. This is silly. You can't make a point about Flacco not being able to throw the ball due to inclement weather and then have your very next point talk about how the opposing qb is going to have a strong night. Unless you mean Ben is gonna run for 80+ yards, this is you lying to yourself.


5. I'd argue against the distraction. It's not like Rice was a world beater. Last season, he averaged almost a yard and a half less per attempt than in 2012. They have two better backs on the roster. It was probably more of a distraction when they knew they were getting him back, and would have to hand the ball off to the hated woman beater. Lots of fan reaction coming when that happens. Now, they've been freed. He's gone. They exhale and move on without him.
