Why is Maryland +185 over MSU. This is boggling my mind.

And it keeps moving towards MSU.. I dont get it either... Last night i understood why MD was only -2.. i would think this line would have been about -2 as well

Why is Maryland +185 over MSU. This is boggling my mind.

Nothing wrong with that, Michigan State is ranked higher on any reliable set of power ratings you can look at. Maryland leads the country in "Luck" on Pomeroy as they are 11-0 on games decided by 6 or less. Not that Terps are bad or anything because even more normal 6-5 leaves them at 22-10 overall, but Sparty simply grades out better.

you really think if a team is -2 vs the hoosiers they should be the same 2 point favs vs izzo in march? dont get me wrong the way the line has moved i think it a little on the high side now but sparty opening as small favs seemed right to me..

i said where they "opened as small favs", i would consider -2.5 a small fav. after which i said "the way line has moved it feels a little high". so not sure what the gripe is here? less than 3 = small fav in my book, more than a possession less than 7 is another level, then more than 7 is big imo.
