Matchweek 7 of the Premier League season wraps up today and my Tottenham vs. Coventry predictions will look to end things on a high note. Play from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London gets underway at 3 p.m. ET (USA Network/Universo).
Tottenham are a -182 moneyline betting favorite, and that's just one of the markets that we're going to target today. Can the Spurs cash that bet and move above the drop, or will Coventry take another step toward safety?

Coventry Over 10.5 shots (-110)
Straight out of the of gate, the price on Over 9.5 (-125) was far more appealing than this line at the end of last week, but it's been bet to oblivion so we're going to push our luck here instead of paying the new -163 line.
Tottenham has conceded 14.67 per match, and while things are improving, let's not suddenly pretend they're a top-tier side. Coventry have hit double figures in shots in four of six league games, and they're looking to chase the lead for most of Monday's game.
Tottenham's attacking approach should create opportunities for Coventry to break into the spaces behind the full-backs if they push too high. Rudoni (or Mason-Clark) and Thomas-Asante will work down the channels into those spaces, with cutbacks and crosses that could create shots.
📡 SBR Edge - the danger of the high press
Tottenham's PPDA is among the league leaders, but it doesn't come without issue. When players are committed forward to win the ball quickly, and the first wave gets bypassed, it can leave space for dangerous counterattacks. Once runners hit open space defenders have to make the tough choice between fouls (more on that below) and giving up shots.

Tottenham moneyline (-188)
The Spurs' winless start disguises improvements that we've seen in recent weeks, and Coventry coming to town might be just what they need to get their first three point game of the season.
Tottenham has produced more xG than four of their last five opponents (if only xG won games!), and that should be the case again this afternoon. Coventry's passive pressing (their PPDA is a shocking 21.8, more than five more than 19th placed Hull with 16.6) will give Tonali time to dictate play from the midfield and give their defenders time to press forward.
While Coventry will remain dangerous on the counterattack, Tottenham should generate the territorial advantage and have a serious personnel-gap to find a breakthrough and record their first win of the season.
John Paul van Hecke Over 1.5 fouls committed (+175)
I've already laid out above how Tottenham's high press should create spaces behind the defense, and that puts the back line in danger of having to make the choice between giving up chances or committing tactical fouls. The defender has racked up two fouls in three of his last give league games, and has one in the other two outings.
Whether is is Rudoni or Mason-Clark operating down the left, those runs could draw the defender into uncomfortable decisions. The appeal with a quarter-unit at this price rests on a handful of awkward transition duel producing two infringements.
While it's not extreme, Andy Madley's 22.7 fouls per match are just on the high-side of league average - he won't be afraid to take out the whistle. Make sure to play this at bet365, or another operator offering a similar "Sub On, Play On" feature, so if van Hecke comes off early (which he hasn't done yet this year, but why roll the dice) you can get some protection from his sub.
