Norway and Ivory Coast will square off on Tuesday at Dallas Stadium in Arlington, Texas (1 p.m. ET, FOX) for the right to progress to the Round of 16, and I'm backing the European side to advance in my Ivory Coast vs. Norway prediction.
Norway is the +110 betting favorite for the knockout match, and I expect them to get the job done in regulation time in a match with at least three goals. As part of my World Cup best bets, I'm featuring Erling Haaland as my goal-scorer prop.

Norway beat Iraq and Senegal before falling to France in their final group game. While they have shown defensive vulnerabilities throughout, Norway scored seven goals in the first two matches and have been one of the most exciting and enterprising teams in attack.
I believe they will concede against Ivory Coast, but find a way to score at least two goals.

I like Norway to advance into the Round of 16, but it might take extra time, possibly penalties, to do so. That's why I'm leaning toward Over 2.5 goals as my best bet.
Norway scored eight goals in three group matches and seven in the first two when Haaland played.
They created a host of chances, albeit against inferior Iraq and Senegal. They are, however, by no means airtight in defense, having conceded seven goals. Ivory Coast scored in every group match and should be able to do so again against Norway.

Erling Haaland, F, Norway (-125)
Haaland scored in 11 straight competitive matches for Norway, including four in the first two group matches before resting against France in the finale. He scored at least two goals in his previous six competitive matches and led the team with 16 goals in eight World Cup qualifiers.
The prolific striker added 38 goals in 52 games last season with Manchester City. In addition, I like the matchup for Haaland against Ivory Coast, as he is just as physical, well-rested and more skilled than most members of their rearguard.
