The biggest and best club competition resumes, and I’m offering six tantalizing picks in my Champions League best bets for Matchweek 2.
Borussia Dortmund should secure all three points on the road, and I’m backing Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise to keep his hot streak alive. My third feature pick turns to London, where Arsenal will look to dominate an inferior Lille side.
Champions League best bets: Matchweek 2
Here are my Champions League predictions for Matchweek 2 as part of our soccer picks this week.

|---|---|---|
| Bodo/Glimt vs. Borussia Dortmund | Borussia Dortmund ML | +105 via BetMGM |
| Viking FC vs. Bayern Munich | Michael Olise anytime goal | +105 via BetMGM |
| Arsenal vs. Lille | Arsenal ML & Under 4.5 goals | -150 via BetMGM |
| Lens vs. Sporting Lisbon | Sporting Lisbon ML | +165 via FanDuel |
| Feyenoord vs. Como | Draw | +310 via BetMGM |
| Aston Villa vs. Fenerbahce | Aston Villa ML | -150 via BetMGM |
Best Champions League bet: Borussia Dortmund ML (-105 via BetMGM)
Borussia Dortmund put their unbeaten start to the campaign on when they face Bodø/Glimt in Norway. While Bodø/Glimt proved themselves in Europe’s top club competition last season, they started this campaign with a 5-0 setback in Germany against Bayern Munich.
Borussia Dortmund are tied for first in the Bundesliga with Freiburg, dropping just two points from five matches. They won both away matches in the Bundesliga and beat a strong Villarreal side 3-2 at home on Matchday 1.
While I expect a close match, Borussia Dortmund is in excellent form and has a much more experienced and talented squad.

Vikings FC vs. Bayern Munich: Michael Olise anytime goal (+105 via BetMGM)
While I’m tempted to back Harry Kane to score a brace at +170, I’m opting for Olise to score at least one goal. The Frenchman is in torrid form, scoring eight goals in as many matches across all competitions.
Olise scored twice against Bodø/Glimt at home on Matchday 1, and he bagged four goals in three matches for France over the international break.
Viking FC won’t be able to handle his pace or trickery. I expect the German champions to score at least three goals, which puts the Kane double and Olise anytime goal in play.

Arsenal vs. Lille: Arsenal ML and Under 4.5 goals (-150 via BetMGM)
While nothing is a lock, I’m uber confident Arsenal will win, with the match ending in four goals or fewer. Arsenal are superior to Lille in every way, and they will show it in the friendly environment of the Emirates.
Arsenal have won all three home games thus far in the Premier League, outscoring opponents 7-2. They lost only two of 19 home matches last season and got their Champions League campaign off to a winning start, defeating Napoli 1-0 in Italy.
Lille are second in Ligue 1, with 13 points from a possible 18. However, they lost their Champions League opener, falling 3-2 to Real Betis in Spain. I expect Arsenal to secure a comfortable 3-0 win.
