The Colorado Avalanche (48-24-6) will be as sour as pickled sauerkraut after Sunday's three-goal loss at home against the Dallas Stars. That doesn't bode well for the visiting Minnesota Wild (37-31-9), who are all but eliminated from playoff contention. Tuesday's game represents a difficult proposition for the visitors. The fact the Wild have nothing to play for other than pride, coupled with the Avalanche needing to win to avoid the possibility of being overtaken by the Winnipeg Jets, should set the tone.

Nathan MacKinnon over 4.5 shots (-145 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

MacKinnon's internal beast is unlike any other. He dominates almost every game, especially at home. The Avs' superstar has at least five shots in nine of his last 10 home games and five of the previous six overall. 

Mikko Rantanen, his right-hand man, is in concussion protocol and probably won't play Tuesday. That puts even more onus on MacKinnon to let loose, which he does better than anyone else. With only one goal in the last four games, MacKinnon must feel like a baby without his regular milk intake. He has 31 goals in 38 home contests and is just two shy of hitting 50 for the first time in his illustrious career.
