The NHL's regular season concludes with the league's best team hosting a Western Conference opponent it's been dominating in recent years.

However, my Kraken vs. Avalanche prediction targets the Under, as Colorado is expected to rest its best players. Puck drop is set for 10 p.m. ET from Ball Arena in Denver (ESPN), where the Avalanche are a -175 to -180 home betting favorite.

🏆 Who will win Kraken vs. Avalanche?

I'm backing the Avalanche to close out their dominant regular season strong while winning their seventh in a row head-to-head against the Kraken. This is a rough spot for Seattle to play out the string. It's the second night of a road back-to-back against the league's best team.

Score prediction: Avalanche 4, Kraken 2

💰 Kraken vs. Avalanche prediction & best bet

Under 6.5 (-130)

While Colorado boasts both the league's best offense and defense, it's the Avalanche's back end that I'm supporting tonight.

These are two of the four teams with the most Unders in the NHL this season, with Colorado ranking first in the league in that category. And if you look at Colorado's recent form, 15 of the Avs' last 20 games have gone Under 6.5 goals.

I'm paying up to get 6.5 (-135) at DraftKings rather than the 6 goal total at other best sports betting sites, giving me some extra leeway to win this bet.

🔥 Best Kraken vs. Avalanche player prop bet

Bobby McMann 3+ shots (-120)

Bobby McMann has averaged more than three shots per game since being dealt from the Maple Leafs to the Kraken, including tallying at least three SOGs in 10 of his last 12 outings.

He also likely won't need to contend with all-world defenseman Cale Makar in the Colorado zone tonight. I bet this player prop at -120 through DraftKings, but there's value up to -130.

🚀 Kraken vs. Avalanche same-game parlay

I'm targeting a 2-leg parlay: Avalanche -1.5 and Under 6.5. Four of the last five Kraven vs. Avalanche games have been multi-goal victories from Colorado. DraftKings offers the best option for this parlay.

💵 Kraken vs. Avalanche SGP picks

  • Colorado -1.5 (+142)
  • Under 6.5 (-130)

Best odds: +328 via DraftKings (0.3u -> 0.98u)

💡 How I'm betting Kraken vs. Avalanche

Follow all of our NHL analysis and expert predictions this season.

I'm laying off a bit on this matchup due it being the final game of the regular season and the expectation that Avalanche stars like Nathan MacKinnon and Martin Necas will take the night off.

That's partly why my best bet is on the Under, which I wagered a full unit on. While I still believe the dominant Avs can win this game by multiple goals at home, I'm only betting 0.3 units on that outcome due to the uncertainty tied to Colorado's lineup tonight.

📊 Live Kraken vs. Avalanche odds

The Avalanche opened as a -310 favorite, but they've since dropped to -175 at the best sports betting apps, largely due to many of Colorado's stars being expected to sit out the matchup to rest up for the first round of the playoffs, starting this weekend.
