This week's NFL schedule is dominated by games between divisional opponents. We are back to highlight the top upset picks for the NFL's Week 14 action.

The phrase "timing is everything" is true in many aspects of life, especially in sports betting, when getting the best or worst number can change a winning bet to a losing one or vice versa. Three NFL games jumped the fence at some point last week, so bettors could get the Detroit Lions, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Las Vegas Raiders at plus odds if they jumped on their lines at the right time. Outside of those teams, the Cincinnati Bengals were the only underdog that won outright and ended Kansas City's 26-game November/December winning streak.

Here are our top NFL upset picks for Week 14 (odds via Caesars Sportsbook and PointsBet).

NFL Upset Picks for Week 14

  • Los Angeles Chargers ML (+140 via Caesars)
  • Arizona Cardinals ML (+110 via PointsBet)

Chargers vs. Dolphins (+140)

Tua Tagovailoa left last week's loss against the 49ers with an ankle injury, and while he downplayed its severity after the game, we expect it to hamper him somewhat this week. Tagovailoa did not play well before the injury, as he tied a career-high with three turnovers (two interceptions and a fumble lost). Adding to Miami's injury woes, Jaylen Waddle left last week's game with a leg injury. If he can’t play this week, it would allow the Chargers defense to focus more on Tyreek Hill, who needs just 11 yards to break Mark Clayton's single-season franchise record.

Conversely, Justin Herbert is coming off his 20th career game with 300-plus passing yards, the most ever by a quarterback in his first three seasons. In addition, schedule makers were not kind to Miami, having to play back-to-back games in California. Los Angeles enters this week one game out of the final playoff spot in the AFC, and we expect it to get a big home win this week to buoy those playoff chances.

Cardinals vs. Patriots (+110)

Both these teams are coming off consecutive losses, but Arizona enjoys a slight scheduling advantage coming off a bye week, while New England last played on Thursday night. The Patriots' loss to Buffalo was concerning because Mac Jones let pent-up frustration get the best of him, as he questioned the team's conservative play-calling. On top of that, New England is ranked 31st in red-zone scoring, 25th in third-down conversions, and 27th in first downs gained per game.

Arizona is just 1-6 at home this year but is 5-2 ATS in its last seven games following a SU loss, and Kliff Kingsbury is 23-12-1 as an underdog with the Cardinals, including 11 covers in 15 such games since the start of last season.
