Entering a rebuild in the highly competitive NFC West is not a recipe for success. All three division foes - the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, and Los Angeles Rams - made the playoffs last season, and the Rams won the Super Bowl. So, that's a potential six losses for the Hawks in 2022.

To make matters worse, the Seahawks face the 10th hardest schedule this season, according to SharpFootballAnalysis.com. Seahawks opponents in 2022 were a collective 149-139-1 last season, so there will be few soft opponents.

Wins will be tough to come by in Seattle this season, and there's value in taking the Under 5.5.

Worst record in NFL (+1000)

The Seahawks are projected as favorites in a mere four games in 2022. Their biggest spread is at home in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons, with the line currently set at -3. They are -2.5 favorites in the other three games.

Between their arduous schedule and uncertainty at the quarterback position, it's conceivable that the Seahawks will finish last in the NFL this season.

Penny Over 799.5 rushing yards (-108)

With the unfortunate announcement of Chris Carson's retirement, Rashaad Penny is solidified as the Seahawks' starting running back.

Carroll has yet to adapt to the NFL and still loves to run the ball. If he had it his way, he would likely have Penny wear a leather helmet.

Carroll has the excuse to run the ball this season due to Lock under center. He'll likely turn to Penny early and often to try and keep the game close.

Penny rushed for 671 yards (7.3 yards per carry) in the final six games of last season, finally displaying the high-end talent that vaulted him into the first round of the 2018 draft.

Penny will see volume, which we want for a rushing prop, and if he can stay healthy (a big if), Penny will be able to challenge his rushing total.

Lockett Over 850.5 receiving yards (+100)

Tyler Lockett has gone Over this total in four straight seasons, albeit with Wilson as his quarterback.

Lock is a downgrade, but has tremendous arm strength and can get the ball down the field.

Regardless of quarterback play, Lockett has big-play potential every snap. He averaged a 15.45 ADOT last season, which ranked second among all receivers with at least 70 targets, according to Rotoballer.

Though they will try to run the ball consistently, the Seahawks will be playing from behind a lot in 2022, and Lockett will be targeted plenty in garbage time.
