The New York Giants are calling for a white-out on Monday night when they host the Dallas Cowboys. We're breaking down the betting with our Cowboys-Giants picks.

Many wrote off the Dallas Cowboys when Dak Prescott was initially ruled out for six to eight weeks with a thumb injury. However, Cooper Rush settled Cowboys fans' nerves by going 2-0 as a starting quarterback with last week’s home upset win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Meanwhile, the New York Giants are 2-0 for the first time since 2016, and Brian Daboll became the fourth Giants coach to start 2-0 in his first season with the team.

Here are our Cowboys-Giants NFL picks for Week 3 (odds via PointsBet, FanDuel Sportsbook, and DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Cowboys vs. Giants Odds Analysis

The line has moved in Dallas’ favor all week, from a high of +3 down to +1 currently at most sportsbooks. Sharp action is on the Giants, as their side has attracted 34% of the tickets but 76% of the bets.

The total is anywhere from 38.5 to 39.5, which rivals the Bears-Texans total as the lowest of the weekend. There has been good two-way action, with the Over attracting 39% of the bets and 50% of the cash.

Cowboys vs. Giants ML Pick

Cowboys (+100) ★★★

The Giants may be 2-0 and heading in the right direction under Daboll, but we will not get excited over two wins against teams that are a combined 0-4. Daniel Jones has a 30 QBR (28th in the NFL) through two weeks. Jones is 7-for-13 for 85 yards and has taken eight sacks when pressured.

The positive for the Giants is that Saquon Barkley has had two consecutive games of 60+ rushing yards for the first time since December of 2019. However, the Giants have no perimeter weapons to take the pressure off Barkley, and better defenses like Dallas’ will take advantage. It will not cut it to have Kenny Golladay coming off his first career game with zero targets and just two catches for 22 yards this season.

The Cowboys are 7-6 ATS under head coach Mike McCarthy in games started by a quarterback other than Prescott, but have covered in five of the last six. However, with no real advantage in taking the points, we will opt for PointsBet’s generous plus-money odds for the Cowboys moneyline.

Cowboys vs. Giants O/U Pick

Under 39.5 (-110) ★★★

The Giants are the first team with fewer than 200 passing yards in 11 consecutive games since Kansas City achieved that dubious feat in 2012-13. And New York’s suspect offensive line will have its hands full with Micah Parsons. Parsons had two sacks and 10 quarterback pressures in his last game. In addition, his 54% Pass Rush Win Rate against Cincinnati was the fourth-best of his young career.

Parsons has taken 50 of his 56 defensive snaps at outside linebacker, but if you game plan just for him, DeMarcus Lawrence, Dorance Armstrong, and Dante Fowler are ready to wreak havoc on their one-on-one matchups, if that is how the Giants choose to play it.

FanDuel is the only sportsbook offering a total of 39.5, so Under backers will find the best value there.

Cowboys vs. Giants Prop Pick

Jones Under 206.5 passing yards (-115) ★★★★

This is not the game that will end New York’s 11-game streak with fewer than 200+ passing yards. It should be a tight game throughout, so there will not be much throwing on either side because of negative game script.

The Under is 12-1 in New York’s last 13 home games and has cashed in eight of Dallas’ last nine games following a straight up win. Jones has stayed under this projected passing total in seven of his previous nine games and will do so again against a Dallas defense that has only allowed two touchdowns on the season.
