Caitlin Clark is on the cusp of women's college basketball history on Super Bowl Sunday, and we're making our best Iowa vs. Nebraska prediction based on the best college basketball odds from our best sports betting sites.

Might Sunday mark a historic moment for women's basketball? Iowa Hawkeyes standout Caitlin Clark is only 39 points away from surpassing Kelsey Plum's all-time career scoring record. With a matchup against the Nebraska Cornhuskers ahead, she can achieve this milestone.

Of course, she'll be competing for attention with the 2024 Super Bowl, especially with the local favorite Kansas City Chiefs looking to defy the latest Super Bowl odds against the favored San Francisco 49ers.

We've already made our Chiefs vs. 49ers prediction and other Super Bowl predictions, but we also have our eyes on what could be a record-setting day for Clark and Co. against an overmatched Big Ten foe.

Here is our best Iowa v. Nebraska prediction and our college basketball picks (odds via our best March Madness betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Iowa vs. Nebraska prediction

Caitlin Clark Under 33.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -120 via bet365

Clark is arguably the best scorer in the history of women's hoops, and she'll have the accolades to prove it in due time. I don't expect that to come Sunday, though, and it feels like her pursuit of the scoring record is inflating this prop total.

Don't get me wrong - it's terrifying to be on the other side of a potential Clark onslaught. The senior sharpshooter needs 39 more points to become the sport's all-time leading scorer, and she's already notched three 40-point performances this season alone. If she really wants to break the record on Sunday, she will.

I'm not so sure that will be her goal, though, with so much of America's focus elsewhere. If you don't think Clark is keenly aware of her impact on the growth of women's basketball, you haven't been paying attention - and the best way to change that is to make history on quite literally any day other than Super Bowl Sunday.

Even her coach, Lisa Bluder, admitted earlier this week that she'd rather her star senior break the record at home against Michigan on Thursday, when Iowa faithful would surely pack Carver-Hawkeye Arena to see their homegrown star make history.

The Hawkeyes are overwhelming favorites to win Sunday (15.5 points), so Clark doesn't need a sensational scoring display to secure the victory. She can save that for Thursday.

Iowa vs. Nebraska best odds

bet365 -120

N/AN/AUnder 33.5

Only bet365 is offering odds on Clark's scoring total for Iowa vs. Nebraska as of early Sunday morning when the senior could become the all-time leading scorer in women's basketball history early this afternoon.

Nebraska's defense shouldn't put up much resistance on Sunday, but I wouldn't be surprised if Iowa runs away with this game early and Bluder tries to rein in her star scorer to save a historic day for later in the week.

Iowa vs. Nebraska odds analysis

Unsurprisingly, our best sports betting sites have the Hawkeyes as 15.5-point favorites to beat the Cornhuskers on Sunday in the hours before the 2024 Super Bowl.

The total for this game is dealing at 156.5, no doubt influenced by Iowa's prolific offense and a relatively sieve-like performance from Nebraska's defense thus far. These teams combined to score 165 points in Iowa's 92-73 win on Jan. 27.
