We're giving our predictions for when and how Caitlin Clark will break the all-time Division I scoring record based on the best college basketball odds.

We've already seen Caitlin Clark set the women's NCAA career scoring record in what could be her final season with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Now she has her sights set on another lofty goal - and you can bet on when (and how) she gets there.

Two of our best sports betting sites are offering prop bets on Clark breaking the all-time Division I scoring record currently held by former LSU star Pete Maravich, whose career total of 3,667 points has stood as the record since 1970.

Clark looks certain to surpass that mark at some point in the coming days, but in what game will she make history? And how exactly will she do it?

Here are our best predictions and college basketball picks for Clark's potentially historic night with odds via our best March Madness betting sites.

When will Caitlin Clark score her 3,668th career point?

Feb. 28 (at Minnesota)+4000

There are only two games left on Iowa's schedule before conference tournament season, so naturally there are only three options in this market. And it's not hard to do the math on which is the most likely.

Entering Wednesday's game against Minnesota, Clark is 51 points shy of breaking Maravich's record for the most points by any player across men's or women's college basketball. Considering that her career high across four seasons is 49 points - which she set just set two weeks ago - breaking the record on Wednesday is rightfully a massive long shot.

Breaking it on Sunday, though, seems almost inevitable on paper. Clark is averaging 32.1 points this season, and she could average 25.5 points across her next two games and still break the record. That said, I'm not sure laying -500 odds is worth it considering she has scored fewer than 25 points in six of 28 games this season.

Two of those came in her last two games, so if we just see a continuation of her recent play, she'd miss out on Maravich's record. Do I think she'll ultimately break the record before the end of the regular season? Probably. If I'm making one bet in this market, though, I'd take the +400 odds on an extended slump for the senior star.

Prediction: Not during regular season (+400 via DraftKings)

Both DraftKings and FanDuel offer odds on Clark's exact method for scoring her record-setting point, but they price this market in slightly different ways.

Each book is dealing -140 odds on Clark breaking the record with a 3-pointer, which is how she broke the NCAA women's basketball scoring record. Just over half of her 10.5 made field goals per game come from beyond the arc, though these odds imply a 58.3% chance of her breaking the record with a three.

While the math isn't ideal there, there's also the psychological element. Clark clearly intended to break the previous scoring record with a signature deep triple and could opt for a similar approach for this one. Here's the other consideration: what if her opponent doesn't comply? It's not as if they won't be aware of the record pursuit, too.

Because of that, my favorite bet here is the one Clark can't necessarily control - the free throw. If she gets fouled within reach of the record, she isn't going to intentionally miss the free throws, right? With such an outlier +900 price via FanDuel, I'd rather take a shot there than lay the short price on a three.

Prediction: Free throw (+900 via FanDuel)
