🎾 Who Offers Best French Open Bets With Sinner and Djokovic Out?

We're officially into the business end of the season's second major as I check in with my French Open predictions after the colossal development of Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic going by the wayside.
Which player on the men's side is poised and well-positioned to capitalize as the Round of 16 gets underway? Last year's champion, Coco Gauff, is out on the women's side, along with pre-tournament contender Elena Rybakina, so who will rise to the top?
Let's dive into four picks, two from each side.

Total wagered: 4 units
🏆 French Open men's pick: Alexander Zverev (+145)
Alexander Zverev will likely never have a better opportunity to pick up his first Grand Slam. The German is superb at Roland-Garros, having advanced to at least the semifinal in four of the previous five appearances in Paris.
He was the runner-up in 2024 and lost to Sinner in the Madrid Open final recently. And he won't have to face a top-10 opponent until the final, if at all.
The best player to never win a major has played well in the first three rounds, losing just one set en route to Sunday's Round of 16 match against No. 106 seed Jesper De Jong.
🎯 French Open men's best value pick: Félix Auger-Aliassime (+1200)
While I'm slightly concerned by the amount of tennis Félix Auger-Aliassime has played, including two five-setters and a four-setter, the Canadian has a pretty favorable draw to contend with.
If all goes according to plan in the Round of 16 match against No. 36 seed Alejandro Tabilo, his quarterfinals and semifinals matches would, at worst, be against No. 14 Flavio Cobolli and No. 19 Frances Tiafoe.
Both are winnable for the No. 4 seed Canadian, who is looking to advance past the Round of 16 at the French Open for the first time.
🏆 French Open women's pick: Aryna Sabalenka (+160)
Aryna Sabalenka hasn't won a French Open title, but she was last year's runner-up. Her next opponent, Naomi Osaka, is a formidable foe, but the Japanese star hasn't fared well in Paris, never advancing past the third round despite seven appearances.
If Sabalenka gets past Osaka, she will likely face Madison Keys, another hard-hitting player who usually doesn't have her best stuff on the slowest court surface. In 13 French Open appearances, Keys advanced to the semifinal once, and that was eight years ago.
She wouldn't face anyone ranked higher than 22nd in the semifinals. I like those odds, and the +160 price at FanDuel isn't so bad either.
🎯 French Open women's best value pick: Mirra Andreeva (+750)
My best-value pick was between Mirra Andreeva and Elina Svitolina, but I settled on the former for various reasons. Andreeva advanced to the quarterfinals and semifinals in two of her three appearances at the French Open, and she reached the final in two of the four clay-court tournaments preceding the season's second major.
She made the quarterfinals and the semifinals in the other two.
💡 How I'm betting French Open 2026
I've been big on Zverev for some time, and I feel strongly this is his tournament to lose. With his most fierce competition already out, I'm confident enough to put two units on the imperious German.
As the best-value picks have significantly lower probabilities, I've settled on half-unit investments. Sabalenka gets a full unit as she has shown an unrivaled ability to go the distance in Grand Slams. She advanced to the final in five of the previous six majors, including last year's French Open.
