Giants vs. Rockies Odds Analysis
The Giants opened as heavy favorites but are now +104 (Unibet) with it being a bullpen game for them. The Rockies are between -115 (DraftKings) and -120 (Unibet) at home. Colorado has drawn 67% of the betting handle and 66% of the tickets.

Giants vs. Rockies Projected Pitchers
John Brebbia (6-2, 2.90 ERA, 1.29 WHIP) vs. Kyle Freeland (9-9, 4.43 ERA, 1.38 WHIP)
Those numbers may look good for Brebbia, but he shouldn’t last longer than an inning. He’s the opener for the Giants, whose bullpen has a 4.16 ERA (4.25 on the road).
Freeland has been solid for the Rockies with Colorado going 14-14 in his starts (8-6 at home). He’s allowed two or fewer runs in each of his last four starts, including 6 2/3 innings of scroeless ball against the Chicago White Sox last time out.
Giants vs. Rockies Picks
- Moneyline: Rockies (-115 via DraftKings) ★★★★
- Total: Over 11.5 (-104 via FanDuel) ★★★
- Prop: Kyle Freeland over 4.5 strikeouts (-134 via FanDuel) ★★★★
Giants vs. Rockies Moneyline Pick
Rockies (-115) ★★★★
The Rockies have one of their better starting pitchers on the mound against a Giants' bullpen game at Coors Field. Freeland knows how to pitch at that elevation. On top of that, the Giants have used a few of their better relievers in each of the last two days, likely making them unavailable for Tuesday's contest.
Furthermore, Colorado is simply a different team at home. The Rockies would probably be in playoff contention if they could play all their games at home and they have the advantage on the mound. This game should be more than essentially a pick’em.

Giants vs. Rockies O/U Pick
Over 11.5 (-104) ★★★
This is a really high number but it’s likely not high enough for a bullpen game at Coors Field. The Over is 7-4-2 in 13 meetings this season, including 4-2-1 at Coors Field. There were 17 runs scored in Monday's contest and unless Freeland twirls an absolute gem, this should get to double digits — and then some.
The Giants' bullpen has an ERA of 4.15 with the Rockies at 4.65. Even if Freeland goes six or seven innings, the Giants will have a few innings to tee off against them. This should be a high-scoring affair.
Giants vs. Rockies Prop Pick
Freeland Over 4.5 strikeouts (-134) ★★★★
This line should be at least a strikeout higher. Freeland has recorded five or more strikeouts in half of his starts this season, including both against the Giants (eight in May, five in August). He racked up six strikeouts in both of his starts against the Giants last season as well.
Freeland had five strikeouts last time out against the White Sox and eight in his previous start against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Giants have the fifth-highest strikeout rate vs. left-handed pitching this season (24.9%) and the second-highest rate in the last month (29.1%). Left-handed starters have five or more strikeouts in five straight starts against them.
