The PGA Tour stops at the John Deere Classic this week, and it’s a watered-down field at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, IL.

It might just be the perfect setup for rookie Sahith Theegala to earn his first career victory, and bettors are lining up to wager on him at BetMGM.

He’s currently the largest liability at the sportsbook, and his odds have dipped from +3300 to +2500 as a result.

Theegala is coming off a T-2 finish at the Travelers Championship last week, and he’s added another four top-10 showings in his pursuit of winning the Arnold Palmer Award.

Statistically, it hasn’t been a standout year, though. The 24-year-old American ranks 130th in strokes gained: putting and 169th in greens in regulation percentage.

Still, Theegala now has the third shortest odds at BetMGM, and he’s likely also a chalky pick in the fantasy community.
