The two sides negotiated late into the evening Wednesday, and the momentum paved the way for Thursday’s agreement. The international draft and qualifying offer system were two of the final sticking points the parties needed to agree upon, but the tentative agreement on the new labor deal just awaits the formal ratification from both sides.

The transaction freeze is likely to be lifted Thursday, and with players eligible to report to spring-training facilities as early as Friday, March 11, there projects to be a lot of moving pieces for prospective sports bettors over the next few days.
