The Pittsburgh Penguins have the second shortest odds to re-sign Malkin, with the field the current betting favorites.

Malkin suited up for 16 seasons with Pittsburgh and helped the organization win three Stanley Cups while also receiving almost every individual award possible.

In fact, the 35-year-old Russian is one of the most decorated players in the salary-cap era.

At this stage of his career, Malkin’s motivation will probably have as much to do with his upcoming decision as anything.

Will he consider a team-friendly deal to join a contender, or is Malkin eyeing one last payday to pad his bank account.

For what it’s worth, he’s earned an estimated $118 million to this point of his career, according to Cap Friendly.

Returning to the betting market available at DraftKings Sportsbook, Malkin signing with the Penguins, Rangers and Capitals would signal an interest in taking another run at a championship.

On the flip side, inking a deal with the Ducks, Red Wings or Devils would indicate he’s content helping a rebuilding club at a likely higher salary.
