After finishing as the No. 1 seed in the AFC and earning a postseason berth for the third consecutive season, the Titans dealt No. 1 wide receiver, A.J. Brown, to the Philadelphia Eagles at the 2022 NFL Draft.

In turn, Tennessee selected Treylon Burks with the 18th overall selection it received from Philadelphia for Brown.

With Burks similar to Brown with after-the-catch potential and the size to create mismatches all over the field, it has the look of a seemingly perfect transition atop the Titans wide receiver depth chart.

Maybe not, though.

The Titans project to keep their cards close to their chest on offense again in 2022. They'll deploy a run-heavy attack behind an offensive line built to clear space for star running back Derrick Henry. Whereas pass protection wasn’t a strength in 2021.

Additionally, there are probably going to be limited targets to go around, and Burks might have more competition for them upon a closer look.

Veteran wide receiver Robert Woods is working his way back from an ACL tear he suffered while a member of the Los Angeles Rams. But as long as he’s healthy, he’s going to garner a fair share of looks in the passing game.

Third-year pass catcher Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is also a threat to carve out a chunk of the target share.

Burks has the highest yardage total prop at Caesars Sportsbook for rookie wide receivers at 812.5, but what if there are growing pains as he adjusts to the NFL?

While there’s plenty of hype surrounding the Arkansas Razorbacks product, living up to it as a rookie could prove to be difficult for Burks.
