Sports Offshore just placed a phony wager on my account. At 3:55, I called to ask the line on the Angels game. The manager told me it was -130 and then the call dropped. I did not say I wanted the bet, let alone confirm with a read-back and account number. Since the price was listed as -120 steady online (an issue in itself), I didn't have any interest in calling back to actually make the bet. At 5:15 I logged into my account to see my entire balance placed on the Angels -130. I called the manager to inform him of this mistake and he told me once I asked for the line, it was placed. He said the confirmation was just a formality and that it didn't mean anything. I told him that's not how it works at every other book in the entire world and he said, "Well now you know that's how it is here." SOS played a terrible angle on me, quoting a false line and then forced me into a bet I didn't ask for or confirm.

Ok based on this story, this is my question. Lets just say this is their policy. How did they come up with a $ figure to put on the Angles if no $$ figure was mentioned? I would ask them that.Comment -

What do you mean by that?
Every bet has to be $500?

#7Same thing happened to me. I called and asked what the over line was for Angels/Yankees game and he said 10. I said everyone has it at 9.5 and hanged up. I logged in my account later and my balance doubled. I called them and told them of their mistake of placing a winning bet on my part without my authorization and they said these are the rules. Then he asked me if I wanted the $500 in twenties or fifties and I said, how about tens?Comment -

#13You didn't have 500 available to bet, so bet should have not been placed, what book is this, never heard of a 500 min/max line.Originally posted by RickySteveYep, that's what I mean.

#15Is this book still affiliated with Carib?
There's no way any book has such a policy. Ask for a number and you automatically bet it? That's ****ing ridiculous.Comment -
