#75daniel,
I have your complaint (you should have received an email from me). The less you say in this thread, the better your chances are. Anything you say here will be used against you, but cannot help your case. Do not give them any more ammunition. If you are serious about having any chance of getting paid, I'd suggest you abstain from posting until I take a full swing at this.Comment -

#76Thanks Justin
I just wanted to keep documenting and informing SBR on everything until I heard from you guys, and now that I have, can you delete this thread and just let everyone know what happens ? I tried deleting my posts but don't seem to be able to.
I think no matter what you guys find out or resolve, they want their $800 debt that my account has been linked to by bad luck and coincidence for using different internet signals to log back in.... So is your advice to just pay the debt? I have their emails and chats that say if I pay it my account and winnings will be restored...Comment -

#77My summary thoughts after reading everything:
1. The OP, like many before him, has confused the forum itself for the complaint form...or maybe more appropriately, is just naive since he is new here and doesn't realize that this community is now focused on other...pursuits...than simply being an arbitrator with the sportsbook industry. As Justin7 said, the unfortunate thing is that he unknowingly aired his dirty laundry on the public forum rather than via the private complaint form. If you don't read anything else, read this: STOP POSTING...IMMEDIATELY...SBR will update the forum as things develop, the first rule of digging yourself out of a hole is to stop digging.
2. This whole "send us $800 more and we'll reactivate your account" thing is very troubling. To me it sounds like the Nigerian scammers who tell people they need their help getting $1,000,000 out of the country, and by simply paying the processing fees, they'll get the lion's share of the bounty. I think the guys around the office at sb.com will be high-fiving each other and laughing if Daniel actually sends them the additional $800 that was purportedly stolen by someone he has no relationship with whatsoever. But like the Nigerian scam, people think they're so close to the big pile of money that they are willing to do anything, no matter how ridiculous it seems, to get it. In this case, it is absolutely and completely ridiculous that they simply need you to send them $800 and they will then open the floodgates to the $25,000 balance.
3. Never forget that these sportsbooks are untouchable from a legal standpoint. I got the feeling from your conversations with them, especially there at the end, that you were trying to get them to state, in writing, the terms and conditions by which you'll get paid, thus leaving a paper trail/proof. You absolutely must realize that at the end of the day, they're gonna do whatever the hell they want. The great, great thing about SBR is that in this shady industry, surrounded by other entities like them that are secretly in bed with the sportsbooks, SBR will ultimately, if theft from players is clear, side with the player. Always. But...with that being said...they are not the 'judicial branch' and have no legal authority. They are an arbitrator whose opinion is still only that...an opinion. If you send them the $800 and they reactivate your account, it's very likely that they'll 'discuss' it with SBR for months and eventually decide that they would prefer to steal your money rather than win the approval of SBR. That is why this website and their service exists, because at the end of the day, all we have to hold against these books is their rating. Unfortunately for you, you're dealing with one whose M.O. is to hover just above the 'blacklist' threshhold and talk about how far they've come recently relative to their outright theft in the past, which is only an extended exercise in placating and bullshitting SBR and its members long enough to get a healthy share of our business.
Best of luck. To me you certainly just sound naive, but you need to realize that depositing small and then taking huge shots is the kind of behavior generally associated with ********** scam artists. With that being said, the way sb.com has handled itself thus far is reprehensible. One day they're going to do this to the wrong guy, someone who has nothing left to lose, and that guy is going to show up in Costa Rica or where ever the fukk they are and exact vengeance on one of these smartass little punks that think they can openly insult and rob anyone they choose.Comment -

#80Originally posted by danieltag33That's exactly how I'm feeling, but I'm confused why Sportsbook.com would actually state this on email and chat transcripts? Saying this to me over the phone is one thing, but aren't they worried that their deceit is going to show loud and clear if they don't honor what they say is going to happen if I pay the $800??? I don't get why they would lie to me in a way that gives me proof and bolsters my claim.... If SBR can delete this whole thread I would appreciate it, and I will let them handle this from here behind the scenes.Comment -

#88Originally posted by KGamblerThis is what I thought as soon as OP mentioned that as well. I don't know if SBook would do something like that, which could damage their reputation even if they claimed the guy was previously involved in a **********, but it just doesn't make any logical sense for them to request that he send them $800 so that they could then send him $26K.Comment -

#89How does anyone not see this?
"Whenever a deposit is stopped/reversed (Sportsbook.com) reserves the right to void all activity in the account and the account holder will forfeit any accounts winnings deriving from the stopped/reversed deposit."
Lets say the OP did in fact open up those other accounts and charged back 800. He DID NOT win off ********** funds....he won off of CLEARED NON ********** FUNDS. That rule is clear as day....no way to swing it. SB.com has no choice, based on that rule, not to pay his winnings minus $800 and whatever bank fees appliedComment -

#99Yet another sad thread of somebody being stiff by Sportsbook. You won big, and they've found something they desperately needed to give them an excuse to stiff.
Years ago they stiff 100's of players for doing correlated parlays despite their software allowing it. If you lost no one cares, it's only when your cashing out this shows up. I really believe that your not going to see a single penny based on their past experience and their disregard for SBR's mediation here.
Next time play at these books only!
