    Slots.lv withholding winnings

Hello, I’ve been following this Bovada non payment thread and am thrilled to see a positive outcome for Sleepless. I am posting here because I wanted to know if SportsBookReview would be willing to help me out with a similar non-payment/confiscation of winnings problem with Bovada’s sister casino, Slots.lv?

Briefly (I can provide much more detail later): I am a 38-year-old African-American male who started online gambling during the Covid-19 shutdown. I researched which casinos and sportsbooks seemed honest and reliable and opened at Slots.lv among others. I read all the rules and they seemed fine and I submitted documentation which was verified and started playing.

I lost several deposits and then had an amazing hot streak on slots ending with a cashable balance of $28,825. I immediately withdrew $2500 (the maximum for one request) on 4/19. My documents were requested again and I resent them and received a verification email from them on 4/20. On 4/21, I received an email stating my account was blocked and on 4/23 received an email asking for phone verification. I called them on 4/24 and spoke to Shontelle who arranged for a call between 4 and 5 pm PDT on 4/25.

No call ever came and on 5/6 I received an unpleasant email stating I had broken the rules in many manners. This was clearly a trap as I read all the rules of all the bonuses very carefully before playing (I can attach the screenshots here as soon as my account is enabled to do so). As this is a giant amount of money, I retained counsel and we contacted their Dispute Resolution Office, providing evidence of their rules. They replied negatively citing rules that were completely hidden on their website (my screenshots will show this). Counsel refuted their arguments as, in fact, I gambled almost the exact opposite manner to the way they call “non recreational” or “bonus abuse.” They again replied negatively so I am here seeking help from SportsBookReview as I see they were extremely helpful with Bovada.

I believe that I am being cheated and discriminated against. If I am able to post the screenshots, I believe the forum will see what I mean. Slots.lv is purposely hiding certain rules so that they can not pay legitimate winnings. As further proof, a well-respected affiliate site advertises Slots.lv to have certain rules which are in fact in direct opposition to the hidden rules Slots.lv claims should apply. Furthermore, this was pointed out to Slots.lv in mid-May and the affiliate site still has not been updated nor have the misleading website rules that I showed them.

Would SportsBookReview be willing to accept a complaint for this matter? If so, I will provide a more detailed description of the exact facts of this situation.

Also, how can my forum account become enabled so that I can post my screenshots here? I believe once everyone sees them, the forum will be in full agreement that Slots.lv is not acting honorably in this case and needs to restore my fairly won balance in its entirety.

You can post screenshots. SBR does not host imagines for anyone though so you'll need to use an exernal image host site like https://imgbb.com/

Please post the exact reason Slots.lv gave you for thinking you abused the bonus terms?

And what makes you think they are discriminating against you as an African American? Is that in writing from them?

Congrats on the huge when, hope you get paid. A lot of these casinos have FU terms and conditions relating to bet size, games allowed and free chip max wins, hopefully this isn’t the case because it sounds like you did your home work beforehand. SBR should be able to help, if they can’t, there are others sites that may be able to.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I have the information I would like to show saved as attachments in word form. I can change the format of them if that makes it easier but as of right now my account is not enabled for attachments. Can my account be enabled for attachments? As of now this is what shows:

No account here is enabled for attachments. "SBR does not host images for anyone" means that. Not just images. Anything.

You cant embed word documents. You can take screenshots of your stuff and use this site to host them https://imgbb.com/ and then paste the link they provide into your post here.

Maybe just copy/paste the email or message where they told you their problem. That's what I really need if you want SBR help here.

I have a couple of questions, why would you hire a lawyer before contacting SBR? And unless you hired a lawyer from Costa Rica, what did you think they would be able to do?

And finally, what did you hit to get to $28K?

And from reading the rest of these posts about Bovada, I dont think they are discriminating against you, it appears they are an equal opportunity welsh.

    The story with screenshots

Sorry for the tardy response, but it took me a bit of time to figure out how to post the relevant screenshots. The four relevant screenshots can be found at https://ibb.co/album/K6tx8L, and they are entitled as follows:
    Exhibit 1: Slots-LVTermsOfServiceMay22
    Exhibit 2: Slots-LVIntroBonusRulesJuly8
    Exhibit 3: Slots-LVDoubleUpRulesJuly8
    Exhibit 4: KasinoKingJuly8
    Exhibit 5: Slots-LVDROFirstResponse

(Please let me know if there is a problem with this link, I've never used this app before.)

To start, let me state that the main reason I signed up for this casino was their seemingly strong reputation and because they had promotions which included no maximum withdrawal and no maximum wager when playing with a bonus. This is particularly important to me because I like to raise my wagers substantially when the machines are running hot. I believed this because here are the rules as per the website for the ‘double up’ promotion (Also seen in Exhibit 3. Note in April this was 200%, so they have recently updated the rules):
THE DOUBLE UP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    · Players must have made a deposit to be eligible for this bonus.
    · The Daily Double Up consists of a 100% match bonus up to $100 per redemption, which can be redeemed once per day.
    · As of June 29th 2020, The Daily Double Up Bitcoin Edition consists of a 150% match bonus up to $500 with 2 redemptions per day. Must be depositing with Bitcoin to be eligible.
    · For the Bitcoin match bonus, the minimum deposit required is $10.
    · Once the bonus code has been redeemed, players must meet the playthrough requirement before being able to use the next bonus code.
    · Deposit plus bonus amount is subject to a specific playthrough requirement before the deposit and bonus amount and any winnings can be withdrawn.
    · The playthrough requirement for withdrawal is viewable in the “My Rewards” section of your Account Dashboard by clicking on the specific bonus.
    · Forfeiting this bonus will result in this bonus and any subsequent winnings associated with this bonus to be removed.
    · All games contribute to playthough requirements; however, certain games may have a greater contribution than others. For more information please view our wagering contribution chart.

    GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    · The general rules and policies of www.slots.lv shall also apply to the Promotion
    · Slots.lv has the right to cancel or withdraw the Promotion or change any of its terms at any time and without cause or notice.
    · Bonus funds may not be used in any Live Dealer games.

The only additional links on these rules are the wagering contribution chart and a link to general rules and policies. I checked all the links and only found Terms of Service, which is a NINE screenshot document that has no mention of any maximum allowed wager when playing with a bonus. These are shown in the attached Exhibit 1. It seemed clear that there was no maximum wager rule associated with this bonus offer. Furthermore, I was sure there was no maximum allowed wager because the highly regarded KasinoKing.co.uk affiliate website specifically said (and still does as of July 9), “NO MAXIMUM WAGER RULE.” See Exhibit 4.

On the day in question, I made multiple deposits ranging from $45 to $80 and started with $20 per spin, or approximately 8 to 15% of my starting balance. On the deposit where I won $28,825, I started winning right away and raised my wagers first to $50 and then to $100 per spin as I was winning more and more.

On 5/6 I received an email that my winnings were confiscated. The casino cited the following rule: "6.4. Bonus programs are intended for recreational players only" further specified in bonus terms and conditions https://www.slots.lv/bonus-terms-conditions rule #10 "Unless stated otherwise on the specific bonus landing pages, all bonuses have a max bet restriction relative to the deposit amount. Casino max bet per wager - 20% of deposited amount."

It is my contention that this rule is absurdly (and probably purposely) hidden in the fine print. There is no mention of any maximum wager for any bonus that I played (the intro or double up, these are Exhibits 2 and 3)
There is a mention of “general rules and policies of www.slots.lv shall also apply to the Promotions.” When one goes to www.slots.lv, there is no mention of bonus rules at all. All they have is something called “Overview of Bonuses and Promotions” which does not say anything about a maximum wager or include anything pertaining to bonus rules. Trying to be extremely careful, I also looked at all the links on the bottom of the homepage, especially the Terms of Service, even though this link was not provided on the bonus rules page.

The Terms of Service are attached here as Exhibit 1 at https://ibb.co/album/K6tx8L. As previously described, this document is nine screenshots long, and there is no mention here about any maximum allowed wager as well. The only way to find that rule off the website is to hit a tiny link at the very bottom of section 6.4 in the terms of service which says “Please refer to the Help section.”

My lawyer sent all this information to Slots.LV’s dispute resolution office (DRO) and they declined our request to have my balance restored. Their response cited numerous bonus term violations and is included as Exhibit 5. In particular the “ betting strategy he used well exceeded the amount permissible in order for the activity to be considered recreational and in line with the Terms of Service” and “Your client’s pattern of play was intentionally structured to circumvent rollover requirements on bonuses issued to him. This is bonus abuse not only under our Terms of Service– but also under any industry standard. Your client’s suspicious and abusive wagering strategy would have been rejected by any reputable online gaming website. Your client should be aware that free bonus play is subject to specific terms and conditions and is under more scrutiny than regular play given the high level of abuse it attracts.”

Furthermore, the casino listed another myriad of bonus rules that I had broken. Counsel responded by refuting every objection and showing that I had not exhibited any of these patterns (even though they were clearly hidden from reasonable view). Almost all of these rules address a player winning big and then dropping their bets either in size or in variance tremendously so as to ‘lock up’ a cashout. Not that I know what “bonus abuse” is, but based on the rules or examples of bonus abuse that they showed me, I played the exact opposite. In fact I would strongly argue that by raising my wagers continuously with no regard to losing my balance or the rollover, I was playing in a completely recreational manner.

On June 18, the DRO replied again negatively, saying the rules were “clearly listed” and by my own admission, I broke the 20% max wager rule. No further rules were cited at this time (as they were all refuted by counsel).

I believe that I have clearly shown that this rule is (probably purposely) absurdly hidden. Furthermore, Slots.lv is continuing to hide this rule. They were first contacted with the attached screenshots on May 8 (I have the originals if necessary) and then again on June 1. It is now July 9 and not only are the bonus rules on the website not updated, the kasinoking.co.uk affiliate website has still not been updated. Slots.lv has had over 2 months to make changes and they have not made any. Note that they have changed the double up bonus from 200% to 150% but still have not thought it reasonable to put the most important maximum wager rule in the specific bonus terms and conditions.

All correspondence with Slots.lv can be provided if you think it will be useful. Please help me collect this fairly won money. It was the run of a lifetime and I should be paid by any honorable casino.

I have a hard time believing this guy hired a lawyer. Unless you are in Costa Rica no U.S. attorney would take a case involving a foreign offshore sportsbook that is technically illegal for you to play at. How much did the lawyer charge you?

I couldn’t read all the attachments due to the print size but I did see one that caught my eye, exhibit 4. I recognize KasinoKing, what did he have to say about this since he recommended you to the site? I would contact him directly.

Also, there is no such thing as professional slots player. Good luck getting your money, I think you have a case but it’s going to be tough the way they hid that FU clause so well. It’s predatory.

Correct me if I've got this wrong:

-Your affiliate, KasinoKing states on their site along with the there is no max wager.
-Slots.lv's 20% max wager rule(which you broke) is listed on their website, however you will have to click a link on their Terms and Conditions page to find it

It's definitely crappy and shady that they hide it well. And it's likely hidden well due to giving them this out to revoke winnings. But I can't imagine a site giving back money won on broken rules that were listed on their website and unambiguous, especially if the site in question is shady enough to try to hide this clause. If they were only citing the bs "recreational clause" that they could throw at anyone you should win. But they are citing a 20% wager rule of which there is a clear answer whether it was breached. Does anyone think the site is going to give in here?

I seriously doubt it, unless.......a very reputable review site exhibits pressure and/or there is a lot of bad press.I’ve heard of casinos paying out if you unintentionally violated the max wager term and contacted support immediately, but it’s rare. The rule is designed to prevent jackpot hunters from doing exactly what he unknowingly did. It’s a hidden FU clause and unfortunately it worked to perfection. The worst part is the casino can limit your wager amount if they want to, but why would they.

My first beef would be with KasinoKing and his affiliate site and if you did any research you’d know he isn’t highly regarded. He promotes scummy casinos to line his pockets. Second, I would contact a casino forum that has good relationship with slots.lv. Lastly I would do what OP is doing Now and try the bovada angle, since it’s their casino. Problem is the forum is full of bovada complaints right now for very similar issues.

Good luck OP, you’re going to need it.

Thank you for the response and interest in my complaint. To clarify,

    1. KasinoKing.co.uk is not my affiliate but just one of the sites I looked at before deciding which casinos to sign up at. That they had misinformation goes to the degree that slots.lv has been inept/dishonest in keeping players abreast of important terms and conditions to ‘freeroll’ players. Furthermore, Slots.lv was informed of this situation on May 8 and as of July 9 they have still not deemed it worthy of contacting this affiliate and correcting this important misinformation. Is their goal to mislead the players into breaking the rules and then withholding any big winnings?

    2. It’s a little more involved than just clicking a link on bonus terms and conditions to find the 20% max wager rule. The bonus in question is the ‘double up.’ Here are the terms and conditions of this bonus as listed on the slots.lv website:

There are only 2 links on these rules. The first is to the wagering contribution chart, which has no mention of any bonus terms and conditions. The second link is www.slots.lv which is just their homepage and contains no mention of bonus rules. The only way to find the bonus rules still two steps removed. One needs to go to the very bottom of the homepage and click on Terms of Service (one of seven links on bottom). Note there was no reference to terms of service on the ‘double up’ rules. Nonetheless I went there anyway.

[Note these terms were updated recently (the bonus used to be 200% and unlimited) and still there is no mention of bonus terms and the max 20% rule.]

The terms of service is a nine page document with 15 sections as seen below. It is only at the very bottom of section 6.4 that anything about bonuses are even discussed. And even here, there is NO MENTION of the specific rules or the 20% maximum wager rule:

6.4. Bonus programs are intended for recreational players only. Professional players or players considered, in our sole discretion, to be abusing the bonus system by any means may have bonuses revoked and be subject to further sanctions. Bonus abuse may be defined as (but not restricted to) clients cashing out for the purpose of re-depositing, depositing on top of an existing balance, or creating new Accounts that they are using themselves. Sanctions may be in the form of increased rollover requirements or loss of bonus privileges altogether for the offending Account as well as any linked Accounts. If you want to send a Sportsbook Complaint form you are welcome, but really, paragraphs telling us they say you broke a myriad of rules and your lawyer refuted that is no help at all. Please do provide all the actual words the book said with that form.
I have just submitted a Complaint and sent an email with all the communications and relevant screenshots. Thank you for looking into this for me. Please let me know if you did not receive the email as it has many attachments and I will break up into smaller emails if you did not receive this one.

Can you confirm you received the complaint and the multiple attachments that I sent? That includes all the communications with the casino. I'm very hopeful for a positive response.

    Enjoy the weekend.

    Hello,

I submitted a complaint to SBR on July 15 and then sent an immediate follow up with multiple attachments. I sent a reminder to the 'cases' email address yesterday along with an additional attachment yesterday. The page for complaints says I will generally get some sort of response within a few days. Can a moderator confirm that my complaint has been accepted and that the attachments were received? I know sometimes emails especially with attachments can be blocked so I would be happy to resend.

Please let me know the status of my complaint and if I need to resend anything or use a different format. The attachments were all PDF.

No sign of any email to cases account yesterday. Did you get an error message back at your end?

Also, you should be writing to help@ for complaint follow ups.

Thank you for response. I only sent to cases because that is what I thought it said on the complaints page. I will resend the email now. I am assuming you did receive the email from July 15 with multiple attachments? It was sent shortly after my complaint was submitted.

I did not get an error message back.

Thank you again for helping with this matter.

Can you tell us how exactly they discriminated against you because you are African American?

I'm very concerned that you are not getting my emails. I have sent 3 emails to help@sportsbookreview.com over the last two weeks yet have not gotten a response or acknowledgment. Can you confirm that you have received those emails? It's been almost two weeks since I submitted my complaint and have not heard back. Also, without the attachments I have emailed, there is no way to process my complaint. I have not received any error message responses either.

If there is some problem with these emails, I can set up a new email account to resend them.

    Thank you

why did you say you are African American? did they specifically say they are not paying you based on skin color?

also, i doubt you get a dime. the wording is in the link. granted it is shady as fcuk and I feel for you but that is there to avoid paying winners.

That struck me as weird but what's also bizarre is how formally every post is written. It takes a special kind of degen to run up 30k in online slots in a short period of time. And even more so on their first time ever online gambling(at 38 no less?). That type of person normally doesn't write every post in the form of a term paper. Someone at that level degeneracy likely would've gambled online before too. He also did a bunch of research before depositing, never gambled online before, and decides on the site with no brand recognition whatsoever? I don't know what that angle means or if there is even an angle here but the whole thing just smells funny. If he's been wronged I do hope it gets resolved

I know Black live Matter thing is hot right now.

What did they do to you?

Please don't tell me because the way they are talking to you lol cause they are always rude to everybody

It’s the grasping at straws angle. Throwing the kitchen sink out there hoping something will stick. The more I read the more bullshit I see. He’s a jackpot hunter that got caught by a antijackpot hunter rule. The only beef he has is with his highly acclaimed kasino king and if he truly did research he’d know that’s bullshit too.

the well typed responses and proper thanking at the end sounds funny. then the emails are not going thru to send a complaint. he also can't load the images on the board but has a seperate link to click to see images. why all of this fuss?

I have no opinion on OP's story, but these points don't move the needle for me. The bolded is a common problem I see mentioned in this forum (I have no idea what the cause is - whether it's SBR's mail system or user stupidity). The underlined is something we see people confused about here almost every day (I guess some people aren't as familiar with message boards as others are).

We should assess his story on its merits, not based on his computer acumen.

He still doesnt give us answer as how sportsbook discriminated against him because he is African American.

    Very curious.

To me sounds like a African American lady shouting at clerk who just looked at her to help

" What you looking at! "

    lol

Yeah, I don't get this part either. Why would anyone at the book even know he's black?

there is some merit imo to not following what optional told him on how to upload images to the forum so we can all see without clicking a new link.
that said, i do feel for the guy since he seemed to have done a lot of research before depositing if this is all true.

All optional said is that you can post screenshots. This is probably what OP thought he meant. Don't see a huge deal in the link. It's a minor inconvenience, but not relevant to the merits of the case.

What I was trying to say above is that he probably thinks he did follow the instructions. Optiona said "Post", which doesn't necessarily = "Embed". He did post it.
