This coïncides strangely enough with Asianconnect closing all PinnacleSports accounts from British customers.

I hope they leave other countries alone...

It's been expected for a while after anti-gambling politicians gained some power last year or so.

And once Australia has every internet user locked into the China style National Broadband Network they are forcing everyone onto, we wont even get emails from books. They will all be just blocked.

What a bad development all over the world. 6 years ago, in most countries it was not necessary to have an agent or broker to bet on Pinnacle, SBO and IBC.

I will never understand why it is legally and ethically correct to bet on commodities, cat-bonds and water but when it comes to sports betting the legal situation becomes more and more restrictive in most countries.

I don't think the general public yet realizes how much control the govt are taking over our communication medium here. The roll out is not complete yet so the govt hasn't tried to use it for blocking or talked about blocking in a long time. Once it's complete they will start and people will wake up (too late)

As far as gambling licensing. Most people are pretty happy with how it works here and you would be just wasting time trying to argue Pinnacle should be allowed to operate without one.

Hopefully they will eventually get one. Would put a cat amongst the pigeons for the local books. I bet they already wish the govt would just leave Pinny alone so they dont try to get a local license.

I think part of it also is that the majority of Aussies who gamble - and obviously there's a lot of us - wouldn't even contemplate betting overseas when you have a TAB on every corner and too many Aussie books as it is to choose from. So to the casual bettor they'd support banning offshore books who don't pay tax or regulatory fees here because they wouldn't care about getting better lines or props elsewhere. If anything was going to stop this mess I reckon it would've happened when they not only banned live betting here but then also live betting with overseas books. There was such a relatively little fuss made then that the government was essentially given free rein on how to deal with these supposed intruders to the market.

Oh well... back to being ripped off.

Yeah exactly Shari. Even the majority of gamblers support the licensing system here.

Would be best for everyone if they just let it be as it is now. Pinny doesn't hurt the locals by competing here and the locals dont want many of the sharps that want Pinny as well.

I got asked to use a different bank when I requested my withdraw btw. One of the big 4 I usually used in the past. So maybe that is a clue why now too.

100% same markets, it's not even a clone but simply the agent site from Pinnaclesports. Limits are only roughly 35% though.

When I decide to move any country directly Betfair or Pinny restrict that country.
    What a bad chance.

Yeah unfortunately for someone like you this just adds to a never-ending shit show as far as the books go here. For me... yes it's horrible but other than one book, no one else cares to limit me so I can just bet what I want. At a horrific price, mind you

Cancelling pending wagers is just wrong. There could be a lot of equity in those wagers.

Get online poker back in the US and fight it.

Because the only countries that can fight anything or the ones that are on the same page Poland/Korea/Japan/Hungary

All these mut countries would never agree on anything in protests.

It might be legally unavoidable, but even then they really should buy out the bet equity based on current prices.
