Expekt Scam Me 645.24 Eur

Hello team SBR and members of SBR Forum.

My name is Cristian, I am a member of expekt.com.

Yesterday evening, I placed 5 bets on the soccer match: Portsmouth - Manchester United over/under 2.5 bets. 4 bets with 100 EUR stake and 1 bet with 96.34 EUR stake. All on the odds of 2.30 for under 2.5 goals.
Portsmouth - Manchester United match started at 21:45 (GMT +2) and my bets were placed at half-time (22:29-22:31 GMT+2) when the score was 0-1 for Manchester United. These are not late bets!
The lines were not erroneous, there was a goal scored in the match and was half-time the lines for under 2.5 goals were between 1.90-2.30 on more than 5 sportsbooks. And not only that the lines were not erroneous but after the start of the second half, Portsmouth managed to score in '55 goal no. 2 for 1-1. At this point, my bets were still pending. At this point, the average odds for under 2.5 goals were 1.40.
The match went on but no goals were scored next. In the last minutes of the match both Manchester United and Portsmouth had several scoring occasions, both managed to received a red card, a few yellow cards, but for my hopes, no penalty was given and no more goals were scored.
After the game finished, Expekt.com have not validated my bets and at 03:14 last night, they have cancelled all my bets with the result... "cancelled".

I contacted them civilised on e-mail and live support and they answer only when I contacted them on live support. Their answer was that they had techincal problems with the live betting and all bets placed after 21:10 were to be declared void.
They also quoted the following article:

4.3.8

(8) We further reserve the right to cancel bets even subsequently if any such bet was won by the customer as a result of a technical fault or error, inclusive of but not limited to an error or fault in transmission. In any such case, the stake of the bet or game shall be re-credited to the player’s account. Nevertheless we reserve the right to hold a customer liable for any damage caused to or suffered by us as a result of such customer knowingly taking advantage of a technical or administrative error when making and/or receiving payments.

They said this is the final decision.


I ask Mr. Bill Dozer and the rest of SBR team to help me in this problem and to get the winnings that I deserve.

i wonder what was the correct line if that was an error. it was half time and it was 0-1 and we are talking about a Premiership match with Man Utd.

if 2.3 is wrong, im just curious what is the correct line. And I'm more than glad to receive my money on the correct line.

After I contacted them, they said they had technical problems with the site and all the bets (winners and losers) were canceled and declared void.
I feel I've been scammed.

Please if you have losing bets and they haven't been canceled, post here and start defending yourself. They gone too far with this fraud method.

if they had so much problems with their site how come after and after every time a match was finished, they removed it from the live section?
How can the system accept bets when they are experiencing technical problems? How can I place bets on the betting section if the board is suspended?
It should alert me of the problem and eventually ask me to try again later.
How come they could update the score on live betting section? And also the bets were updated with the result after the game finished.

And very important, I was also checking Reading - Chelsea match very often and the match was updated all the time with new lines. I'm sad I did not took a screenshot to that also, but never thought they will do something like this.
That's why, now, I seek on all sports-betting forums for people that did place a bet on one of those matches and I am sure I will find someone that placed a bet on this match or Chelsea match or Sevilla's or Arsenal's matches.
and I will investigate if they indeed void everyones losing bets in these matches.


I, very much, don't like to act like this and hoped from them to resolve my issue like gentlemen but, now, they don't even bother responding to my e-mails.

That´s not true. I was betting with them that night and all soccer games were down or with wrong odds sooner or later (what they later explained as technical problem) including Reading - Chelsae.

What you should do in my opinion is following - try to find what was the price of other bookies at the time you bet. Key is if you bet wrong line or not imho. A bet on correct line should not be cancelled but if it was wrong (due to technical problems) then cancelation would look logical to me.

Sounds a bit strange as I don´t remember that they would be offering something else than couple of soccer games that time... Any screenshot or something like that?

I have used Expekt, they are shit, but surely the point here is that your bets were not validated, so in effect all you did was request a bet that was never actually placed or accepted, so I dont really see how you can get paid? Your only real complaint is the software screwed up and your bets were never accepted, but they have TC's to get around this so I dont think you have a leg to stand on really.

ohhhhh OK, so OP were they out of line compared to Betfair? I just cant see why you would want to place these bets with expekt unless you were getting value over the exchange prices?

I bet on 2.30 odds for under 2.5 goals before two minutes of 1st half ending in Portsmouth - Man Utd match.
What program does it tell you which line is the correct one?
There are many sportsbooks that offer a lot of matches and sometimes their odds vary so much you can win by arbitrage.

If this would make an excuse that would make all the sportsbooks to have freedom canceling their bets at their own discretion.

There is no program to tell you what is the perfect line!

If it was 23.0 odds, that would have obviously made it a wrong line and of course no respectful Sportsbook would have paid that.

But Expekt.com which is supposed to be a respectful and trustable Sportsbook doesn't even pay at the correct line. Instead, they try to motivate themselfs using an excuse about their technical system, which does not even grant them the right to void winning bets 6h later after result.

And how about showing me some losing bets that actually have been voided by the great Expekt.

They are the fraud and their scheme is as following.
They leave some odds a little higher and if a lot of people bet on that line, which is very possible to happen, they wait!
They wait even after full time.
For a few hours they have time to check which matches have a big amount of winning bets and ta da, they cancel all winning bets on the pretext they had a system problem with their live betting.

Sorry man but what I see is that you are just bloody pissed off. You probably already saw the money in your pocket and after they cancelled your potential winnings you started a holy war against Expekt. Be real and try to find out what really hapenned.

You don´t care if it was a wrong price or not. At least you should notice that Expekt really had technical problems that night (long suspensions, late refreshes, repeated down times, etc.). So what if you bet a wrong line and they couldn´t cancel it earlier?

I can only repeat one thing - try to find what was the price of other bookies that offered this game at the time you bet. Then compare and you will see if it´s similar or not. It´s the only way that can prove that you deserve the money but it seems to me that you ignore it and focus on silly conspiration theories.

I wouldn't say that. You don't come across problems like that @ Betfair as far as I know. Also Betfair are more co-operative than expekt at least they were in the past. Hope it doesn't change anytime soon.

I placed my bets and All bets are subject to acceptance by EXPEKT.COM and will be confirmed to the customer at the time the bet is made.

Of course I am pissed off when I get scammed and I will do anything I can to expose your scamming scheme

(1) As our Customer you declare that: - You do not know or are not aware of the outcome of the event when placing the respective bet.

How could I know the result of the outcome when I place an under 2.5 goals FT at 2 minutes before HT

(2) The live betting schedule can be amended at any time due to changes in transmission plans by broadcasters.

The live betting was perfectly fine and the technicians removes the HT betting after HT, updated the score in live betting, updated results in pending bets, removed the match from list after game finished.

My bets were placed very correct and no team has gained any advantage until '55

Irrelevant. I placed under 2.5 goals FT at 0-1 '45 '47 '48 , I couldn't knew the outcome.

You suspended and also unsuspended. You updated lines, scores, removed matches after finish. You have absolutely no proof your system was broke at that time and you have absolutely no losing bets voided, only winners.

And the ToS points move on. You have no rule in your ToS saying that you can void bets after finish.

This is just pure scamming and I'm surprised a top bookie like yours resorts to such measures.

Funny is I have other bets on over under 7.5 corners and they were validated, but this one was canceled.

When questioning the customer support, I received the following answer:

The reason why we have cancelled this bet is because you have done an late live bet on this event, you betted after the closing time on this, therefore have we cancelled your bet.
