    Bodog Payout and ID problem
I am a recent player at Bodog and have decided to ask for my 1st payout. ($1600)

I was set back a bit when they said I needed to verify my credit card. Not sure why this was necessary as they already took my deposit from my credit card and the charge has been put on my credit card.

In any event. I sent them a photo Id picture, front and back and I sent them picture of my credit card, front and back. The address on the photo ID matches my shipping address and it matches the address that's linked to my credit card. I also sent them information as to which bank the credit card is with and their phone number.

Not long after I send the information I get an email back saying that my signature doesnt match, ( my hand is injured and my writing a bit sloppy ), and that I need to send them Passport copy or drivers licence copy.

This is making me quite nervous, why do they require so much identification? Do they employ a handwriting expert on staff? If so i would have waited a few days to take my bandages off my hand and written a bit neater.

Are they doing this just so that they dont have to pay out? I'm up about 1800.00 with them.

Not sure how to proceed. Any suggestions?

Ratz, sorry to hear about your trouble and your injured hand. My only guess is that they may think you are connected somehow to this poster who is also having a problem with Bodog (LINK). Are the two of you acquainted in any way?

just send them what they requested. most likely they want to make sure that no photoshop is invloved or indeed no gnoming, plus the bookmakers are very sensitive with credit card deposits and potential chargebacks. anyway no worries here, they paid me 4000 in one go in no time (although via neteller). good, reliable book

Willie, do you know something about the IP addresses / location that we don't? Otherwise, it seems like a weird leap to wonder whether the two players are connected?

ETA @ OP: Handwriting on what was sloppy? On the back of your credit card? - why wasn't that signed anyway from when you got the card?

          Not by that handle.

And just curious as to what's another piece of ID going to give them? How many pieces do they need to establish my identity? They have my CC and their tell #.
          they have photo ID.

I am not withdrawing my entire account.

What good would a passport picture do them?

Not sure.. Credit card was signed. Goverment issue photo I'd with address was signed. I'm guessing what was sloppy was the form I filled out and signed. I get my bandage removed on Friday and can send them all the signatures they want but I'm not sending them a passport ID.

I'm an old man AimingHigh; I don't take 'weird leaps.' All I know is those two posters signed up at SBR in the last 48 hours from the same location. Maybe it's one of those coincidences that I've been hearing more of lately where two posters just happen to be in the same internet cafe and just happen to register at SBR and just happen to have similar stories, likes, dislikes.

I signed up at work.. We have over 600 employees with access to the computer.

I do not know that person by that handle. Even if I did know who it was, what would be wrong with that?

I never used any referal bonus or such.

As for similar stories, yeah I guess so. I'm asking for a payout of winnings and hit a snag with verification. The other poster waiting for payout.

I only played the sportsbook at Bodog. No poker room.

                  Thanks, Willie. I figured.

I wish the OP(s) luck then.

Just to update, they want me to call them.. I will do so when I get home so that they can see caller ID of my telephone number matches the number they have on record.

Willie, as for the new signups, Bodog just started letting Canadians sign up just before Week 1 of football season. After the US ban, I lost money at cybersportsbook, I was Leary of sportbooks again and kept action with local bookie but you can get carried away and bet what you don't have when your chasing.

I only came on here seeking advice, if you are a mod and don't want me posting here then just let me know. I will go away

                      Ratznesst,

It doesn't sound like Bodog is being unreasonable. You submitted the information they requested, and the handwriting from the authorization form didnt match the handwriting from your Credit Card. You could try explaining to them that you injured your hand and so the handwriting on the authorization form is off, but they probably will only get more suspicious. It would be easier to just send additional ID to verify who you are. They just want to protect themselves as well as their clients from fraud.
