    Paddypower problem
    Hi there,
I hope you can understand my bad english...
I got an offer from paddypower to place a bet on the
"Top 1st Innings Runscorer" market of the England v Australia 5th Test
cricket match up to 300 euro to get a freebet of the same amount if my bet
lost . The freebet had to be placed on the Twenty20 cricket match top runscorer market . I bet 200 Euro on the qualifying bet and it lost. Then i wanted
to place my 200 Euro freebet 5 minutes before the start of the match. I got an error message saying that i could only bet 100. So i tried to bet just 100 euro.
Then i got an error message that i can only bet the whole amount
of the freebet(200 euro) at once.
I tried again to place my bet on another player but got the same error message. Then i went to live chat to aks for help. They told me that i must call if that happens but the event had started already so that i couldn't place my freebet anymore. I asked to get a freebet on another cricket match or any other event
because it wasn't my fault but it was declined and i was told that it was the supervisors final decision.
Is there any chance to get the freebet with the help of SBR?

It's up to you whether to file a complaint but my feeling is that Paddy Power didn't actually do anything wrong here to warrant an SBR complaint. I would continue down the route of talking with Paddy Power.

I play there a lot and know that it's often the case that the limits are too low to place any free bets you might have won and that they do have to be called though but you didn't and this isn't your fault because soome bookmakers do allow live chat wagering.

I also have knowledge of that particular offer because I was betting on the match market with them and the offer was for Top England bastman. As England batted second, even if they would usually stop accepting bets at the off, that particular bet and market wasn't affected at all until England went into bat and that was a considerable time after the schedule start time so perhaps they could have allowed the bet to be placed a matter of minutes after Australia went into bat but maybe their traders aren't happy to do such a thing. I hope you get some form of gesture of goodwill at least but in the future you now know how these limits may stop you betting, how leaving it to the last five minutes can mean it's a big rush to bet and that you'll have to go straight to the phone to bet if you are limited. I wish you well with it.

The Twenty20 matches were abandoned anyway, so the bets would have been voided.
