He means signing up for their exchange services and not just using their wallet.

If you’re using the anonymous wallet you’re fine. If you’re using blockchain.com to convert BTC to fiat you can run into problems. To use their exchange services you have to be verified, kyc etc. It’s really the Achilles heel of crypto, if more places accepted crypto as payment we wouldn’t have to convert it to USD but in order to accept it they have to know where it came from etc etc. at some point it has to be converted to fiat and that is the problem.

can you elaborate? I’ve been using blockchain for years now, primarily as the middle man between Coinbase and book. I’ve also on occasion sent from book to blockchain and turned it into cash to send to bank account. Is that a risky move? Any better alternative?

How are people cashing out their bitcoin winnings these days, with the ever changing landscape and tax crackdown I'm looking for fresh ideas and ways to cashout, diversify if you will.

Has anyone tried Robinhood to buy & transfer cryptos ? If so what are the fees associated with sending to another wallet ? They just recently implemented this feature on their app.
