#4I would advise against. Not sure their exact trigger, but I think payouts will hasten one's demise there.Comment -

#10MGM is what it is and has been for 100 years now.
A tight ass dollar first mega conglomerate.
Read up on Marcus Loew (name sound familiar)?
And Louis Mayer.
Treated those all time great actors like dog shit.
They made the money for MGM, not the other way around, but back then the actors had no union, no rights.
MGM ran all over them.
Despise them.Comment -

Does MGM throw whales comps?
Yes, but you have to bet like 20 purple chips a hand.
What's their standard juice at the betting window?
Ten percent?
They don't give a shit about you or me, just the dollar.Comment -

#13In Vegas, they limit on the app without winning much at all.
They don't cut to peanuts but they do cut.
I would imagine other states limit quicker.Comment -

If I was a sports book manager and I had a customer that's a regular loser, the last thing I would do is limit him.
Unless it was clear that the customers losses were detrimental to his well being, than I'd step in.Comment -

#22Same. I think they probably somehow track the bets you place vs the market price for those. Doesn't matter if you lose if you bet something at +150 and the market everywhere else was +135 then they know you have half a brain and they don't want you. Doesn't matter if you won or lost.Originally posted by Mugsy777They limited me a few months ago and I am a losing plyer with them
One thing never mentioned is your other activity in your account. The reason DK will be so successful is because they are turning sports bettors into degenerate online casino gamblers. If you win on sports but go play blackjack after then what do they care? Since MGM limited me I have nothing to do there. I'm not going to deposit to play at the casino. I'll go somewhere else. They don't grasp this concept.Comment -

#23MGM is basically a sportsbook that doesn't want to book sports bets. It's the oddest thing. Like Mickey D's limiting burger buys. Or Starbucks limiting caffeine intake.Originally posted by SandybestdogSame. I think they probably somehow track the bets you place vs the market price for those. #25If anyone who has had an account limited wants to help stop this from becoming more common, take the time to send a short email your state regulator just saying what happened and that you think it's an unfair practice. Not even asking for anything.
It really does not take a lot of people saying something to get a reaction from these regulators. If nothing else at least asking the book about it privately..Comment -

#27The idea being that a book can set any limit they want but it should be uniform across the board for customers without discrimination. So if MGM wants to limit everyone to $100, fine. But they can't take $100k from one player and only let another bet $10.Originally posted by OptionalIf anyone who has had an account limited wants to help stop this from becoming more common, take the time to send a short email your state regulator just saying what happened and that you think it's an unfair practice. #28This is an excellent idea. Get this concept into government representatives' heads now while the industry is still fresh, before limiting becomes a normal, expected practice. These large corporations undoubtedly have many high priced lobbyists working to shape regulations in their favor. Don't let them win.Originally posted by OptionalIf anyone who has had an account limited wants to help stop this from becoming more common, take the time to send a short email your state regulator just saying what happened and that you think it's an unfair practice. The game is already rigged in their favor via generous vig. They shouldn't be able to discriminate against certain customers on top of that.Comment -

Been doing this job for 8 years to know what I am saying.
Lazy, whiney people ALWAYS make that dumb excuse for them to spend half an hour crying on a forum but say its a waste of time to spend 1 minute sending an email.
You have regulation now... don't cry on here about anything if you refuse to take such simple actions that WILL help over the long term..Comment -

#34Great start, now email pgcb@pa.gov and tell them what has happened and that you think it is unfair for their licensee to act that way. Make sure that you mention that you already appealed to theMGM and they just said 'hope you understand', or they will just tell you to do that first.Originally posted by Barrakuda
