Hard to imagine any brand that worked offshore being approved. But there are 50 states and could happen still I guess.

Why bother. Anyone with half a brain will still use them as offshores. People just glad to lose money betting with shit odds at US books.

Yeah, I don't see it. There's no need for them to license and reward bad actors that were operating outside of US regulations and not paying taxes for years when there is already so much competition vying for every state as they become legalized. And I'm sure the DKs and FDs of the world are paying lobbyists to make sure it doesn't happen as well.

Are you kidding? Huge market. Like it or not, the squares are not going offshore and that's where they can make money. And these books actually know how to book, unlike the marketing companies they call books.

Bet365 already has been in NJ for awhile. Doesn't that count as an offshore?

Whatever happened with all of the 5Dimes entering the us market bullshit? Everyone swore Tony’s widow was paying the feds fine so 5Dimes could enter the US markets. I never bought it, thought it more likely for other legal reasons like stepping foot on us soil.

I think you answered your own question. They had to come up with spin to placate the masses.

I think they figured they were a chance to provide services to licensed books at least.

They seemed to be spending money trying to get an Isle of man license for a while there too.

So do think they had ambitions of something bigger than what they are right now.

Eventually some state will figure out the sheer potential of an established multijurisdictional international entity with humongous volume & betting menu + tight lines- serving as a pool co-mingler or layoff dumpster, so that its books can have basically unlimited handle. (Must not care about the provenance of the international handle because the resultant attention would lead to clampdowns killing that handle)
                            Who knows when.

A helpful prod and\or Consolation prize would be the Wire Act gets Supremed out on Unlawful Restraint of Interstate Commerce grounds, so that at least a US State or big Book can do it.
And no, whatever is occurring now under the table doesn't count- minimal effect.

Online casino tables, slots and lotteries could also super benefit from horseracing's international commingling example.

Accepting crypto would be another massive aid.

The Country or State that officially adopts all of the above (if ever) will rule the world.
