NJ getting a betting exhange soon.
ProphetX is a peer-to-peer sports exchange where players play against each other, not the house.

Peer-to-peer US sports betting exchange Prophet has announced the launch of pre-registration for ProphetExchange.com, the New Jersey-based exchange where customers can set prices for other users to bet on, or place bets on the prices already available.

Supporting the pre-registration launch is the firm’s first crowd-funded consumer campaign, “Exchange The Love”. Described as a one-of-a-kind proposition, it will reward early adopters of Prophet’s unique sports betting exchange by providing a deposit match bonus that will increase by $25 for each 500 new registrations.

CEO and Co-Founder Dean Sisun explained: “We are gearing up for the full consumer launch of Prophet in our home state of New Jersey and wanted to find a new way to reward everyone who joins Prophet at the pre-registration stage. ‘Exchange The Love’ is the perfect way to achieve that.

“This is an exciting time for Prophet, starting to welcome customers into our community, and ‘Exchange The Love’ is a great way to say thank you to everyone who comes on board now. An exchange grows stronger with more active users – more liquidity equals better prices – which is why we wanted to create a campaign that allows users to help each other while also being incentivized for doing so.

“With that said, for every 500 people that sign up during our pre-registration phase, we’re going to increase the deposit match bonus for everyone by $25. That means that when we hit 5,000 new registrations, that deposit match bonus is going to be up at $250, and so on. The more people that come on board now, the more everyone gains.”

I believe the original legislation from several years ago that permitted exchanged wagering in NJ was specific to allow horse racing and made no mention of sports. I wonder if that legislation has been updated.

It looks like it's 2 cents on Moneylines and they're playing middles on spread and totals?? The example is -2 1/2 if you'd take a favorite, while + 2 if you take the dog. Pretty wild. LOL

Prophet Partners With Caesars Entertainment to Launch Online Sports Betting Exchange in New Jersey and Indiana

July 12, 2021 10:30 AM Eastern Daylight Time

HOBOKEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Prophet, a New Jersey-based sports betting exchange founded in 2018 by Dean Sisun, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Jake Benzaquen, Chief Operating Officer (COO), has announced a multi-year market access agreement with Caesars Entertainment (“Caesars”).

The agreement with Caesars will see Prophet launch its innovative peer-to-peer sports betting exchange, betprophet.co, initially in New Jersey for the 2021 NFL and college football season, and Indiana in 2022, before future rollouts to additional U.S. states. Prophet will offer its services on web, iOS, Android and via their public API.

"We are delighted to announce our agreement with Caesars which will see Prophet launch for the 2021 football season,” commented Dean Sisun. “Prophet is going to be the sports betting exchange of choice because of its simplicity and focus on sports betting principles. We are for the customers who want the best experience and prices on the market. Our customers will have the luxury of placing bets on spread and total markets at even (+100) odds, not being limited on any action, and also have the ability to create their own odds on markets offered. For example, if the spread on a game is -6, but you want -5.5, you can make that offer with Prophet. Same goes for both moneyline and total markets.”

Prophet is an innovative peer-to-peer sports betting exchange which was formerly licensed in the UK and operated out of London.

Sounds like they are quite optimistic. Already missed startup goal of this football season.

Anyone ever heard of them operating in the UK???
          .

Okay. I see what you're looking at. But I don't think those numbers have anything to do with their rake. Those are just the central numbers offers can be made at. Like all exchanges they're going to take out X% of the money bet.

You would have thought they would have been able to find enough big players betting at 0% commission to at least seed the markets. But here it is Week One of CFB and it's a ghost town.

Here's the information on their commission. TLDR, it's 2% on net winnings.

                      --

                      Prophet Exchange’s Commission
