That would have to be approved by voters... this current agreement with the Seminole tribe has nothing to do with the greyhound tracks, poker rooms or anything not Seminole Tribe.

Found out Chase considers any gambling transaction to be a cash advance and not a purchase. So yea…they just hit me for multiple fees + interest if I don’t pay it off right away 🙄

The judge will hear arguments again tomorrow, she can do a bunch of things, and she said she would rule by November 15th at the latest. Close down sports wagering, let it keep running, declare the whole deal with the tribe is illegal, she literally has the power to do what ever she pleases. Whatever she decides it will be appealed and that could leave the whole mess in limbo till the appeal is heard, generally around a year, just in time for it to potentially be on the 2022 ballot, but they are not even close to having the signatures by January 1 2022 that are needed, I don’t see it making it to the 2022 ballot

Again, you are combining the two issues.

You are correct that the judge could shut it down. But if it is allowed to continue, the pari-mutuels are permitted to act as satellite hubs for the Seminoles. It says that in the compact. If the compact is ruled legal, that is...... The argument is that the servers that process the bets are on Seminole grounds, and pari-mutuels are simply collecting and paying out on behalf of the Seminoles.

However, what does require a vote is if Draftkings or FanDuel or some other entity wants to offer sports betting. That is not part of the Seminole agreement, in fact it competes with it. Same for the right to open a casino that competes with the Seminoles...... it requires a 60% passage on the ballot.
