#39How long did the TV station let Phil whine about getting his AA cracked by some "idiot" who played 9-3?
LOL And how many times did he call Dwan an idiot for playing 9 3?Comment -

#41Hellmuth took the 93 cracking his aces pretty well. Phil did invite it by opening limping the button with AA. Before the hand started, he defiantly wanted that type of action for a chance to double up his ~20K chips (20% of starting stack). Phil played it great, just didnt work out this time. He lost this match 3-4.5 hours into it. Tom Dwan adjusted to Phils playing style extremely well. Phil has defiantly shrunken back from the bull shit he has thrown Tom Dwans way over the years. At one point in this heads up match he said something along the lines to Tom, "your the only one Ive played heads up that get away with raising almost every button". Phil has learned to respect Tom as one of the best players in the game. Phil said later on, "I wish I could play against you forever". It was part trash talk about how Tom likes to make big call offs with weak hands. However it was really Hellmuth saying that he knows by playing Tom Dwan, he is challenged, and will improve his heads up game to another level by engaging him competitively. With all of that said. I highly expect Hellmuth to rebuy for $200,000. He is still up $700,000 in 8 heads up matches (in this format, (7 wins 1 loss). Phil will want the opportunity to study and rechallenge Dwan. Hellmuth wants to become much better at heads up. He clearly has his eyes set on a heads up WSOP Bracelet in the future! With the kind of performance he put up in Round 1 against Dwan, I would not bet against Hellmuth doing just that in the next five years.Originally posted by JoeCool20How long did the TV station let Phil whine about getting his AA cracked by some "idiot" who played 9-3?

#44Hellmuth has officially challenged Dwan to round 3! He will buy in for $200,000. It is unknown when they will play but is suspected to be around the WSOP start at the end of September.Originally posted by JAKEPEAVY21Bloody hell, still pending

Phil tweeted @ Tom Dwan, "I texted my boy @TomDwan
to let him know that I am officially challenging him to a match for $200,000 ($400,000 total) in “High Stakes Duel,” only on @PokerGo
App. Tom is a great great poker player, and he beat me last match. I’m sure next round will be a battle! #POSITIVITY"
Hellmuth losing and acting with grace, dignity, and respect! I am impressed. He has come a long way from calling Tom an internet guy that would probably not be around for more than ten years. Phil will be a force for years at this heads up thing! He is taking it very seriously and will be sharpened by this experience.

#63Good question. There seems to be some confusion about this. It's being reported that this is because Dwan was stuck overseas and Tom is saying on Twitter that he asked for a reschedule and did not withdraw. I guess we'll see.Originally posted by CrusherrrDwan backed out. Wonder if its ruled no action or a loss for DwanComment -

#65It should be graded one way or another. Dwan went 1-0. Whether they think thats considered a win or a no action is up to them. Dwan didn't back out, he was forced to be in Madrid for Triton series as he's an ambassador for them.
With WSOP quickly approaching I doubt they play again anytime soon.Comment -
