    Question for the "PROS" here
    So here's the dilemma......

A Sportsbook rated A+ here on SBR has refused to return a wager(small less than $50) when during a NFL SIMS game the operator had the wrong weather settings set and the game started. The weather was supposed to be SNOW and when someone brought it to @BloatedElvis who was running the SIMS he put up a meme of Mark Zuckerberg that said "I made a Mistake.......and I apologize" and the SIMS operator stopped the SIMS and restarted it. The explanation from this book was it wasn't a big deal since he restarted the SIMS with the snow added into the settings. I say it DID matter b/c on the original SIMS Team A received the opening kickoff and when the weather settings were updated Team B got the opening kickoff!!!

If this A+ book refuses to refund/void something this wrong due to their wrongdoing then how do you trust them to do the right thing on other "ISSUES"? I have screenshots of the Zuckerberg memes and screenshots of the chat that runs during the SIMS but this A+ book refuses to do what's right. How long before they start stealing from REAL sports contests when they already have started doing so with the SIMS?

In their defense I've never had an issue regarding getting paid but the SIMS issue was clear as the nose on your face that the operator made an error and it was brought to their attention immediately w/o so much as an apology!!!!

Would you continue to play at a book that did this?

Interesting minds wanna know........I wanna know!!!

I suspect 99% of the people with bets on the game would think it was more egregious to have cancelled all bets due to a settings error and a re-start.

Did you ask to have your bet cancelled immediately? Before the restart happened?

If so, I think you could have an argument for a void. Not that I really think there was any valid reason to void anything. No one knew what the re-started coin toss would be in any case.

But if you did not make the request until after you saw the kick-off team for the re-started game, I don't think you have much of an argument really.

This kind of situations could cost arbers a lot of money. Bookies should define in their rules what happens in these cases. Specially A+ rated bookies.

I knew that would be some wise guys reply. That's why I presented the thread the way I did. Nonetheless if "real" games are cancelled/ppd and played under different circumstances(weather being one of them) then I'm 99.9% sure that ALL wagers would be voided. Been doing this for a long time so let's make that 100% sure!!!

Crusherrr.....yea I'm sure these books continue to post lines on the SIMS games due to lack of interest. If you know anything about offshore it's that if it isn't getting ACTION then they will stop posting the lines.

Opti-yes I pointed it ASAP but to a Live Chat agent and you know how that goes most of the time. I chalked it up to being bored and betting on the SIMS to begin with but any reasonable sportsbook manager would have voided any requests on that particular SIMS due to the fact the operator made a mistake. Would it have mattered if the guys in the chat didn't bring it to his attention and let the game play out when it clearly says "snow"? That would be the players freerolling the book and I'm sure they would be frown upon for doing that too........Once again it is the Golden Rule.....those with the Gold make the RULES!!!

            Thanks for the feedback!!!

AGREE 100% but it looks like they do things according to who complains or brings it to their attention. It was a relatively small amount of $$$ but from the beginning I said it wasn't about the funds but more along the lines of the principle. If they have the "SNOW/LIGHT SNOW" under the description of the SIMS it should be a no-brainer!! I mean if it says 15 minute quarters, etc and the operator decides to set it at 20 minute halves wouldn't that be the same? The settings weren't set as the betting line described. Period...end of discussion IMO!!!

I agree. If you asked before the game was re-started and the CS agent had escalated it a manager would/should have voided for you.

If it genuinely was pre restart, you are welcome to PM me the book/account/bet details and I'll get it reviewed.
