Fairlay down.. for days

The website is up for me, quite a bit slow though. Last action I had was Monday Night Football and it was graded. Sure hope it's just a server thing as I got a bit of a balance. I'm not going to panic though.

Noticed this at the top of the page:

"It seems the website is currently under attack or experiencing heavy traffic. Matching engine, priority withdrawals and other relevant parts are working fine. Order confirmations might not reach users in time and the website might display wrong data. Only use the website at your own risk."

I can't get any orders to match. Hope they get it straightened out.

Seem to be back to normal now. I withdrew part of my balance and it was processed in under an hour. I’m not going to completely abandon ship though.

Agree. If they ever got hacked, they would just calmly announce (via laptop from some guy on a beach) that they "think" there was a breach, and that 100% of customer funds are gone. Be smart, and keep your balance at FL to a minimum.

That's danshan11, who used to post here. Don't know him, but I know he makes markets on FL and AFAIK there is no other financial connection. I've used his site a couple time -- it just posts a new market on FL to the size you requested -- barely inside of the main MM. He then grades it. When I asked him, he said he has to post up funds like any other user. Not totally sure I buy that part, though.

Danshan is a huge asset to Fairlay. His Parlay and App link is even on the main page now. His limits have increased and his staff is the best CS out of any book I have used (Blows away the Failray troll support). Nice to be able to speak direct and get grading so fast. He posts up funds like any other user and has access to Fairlay upper managmenet that us Knobs dont. He's a smart dude. Too bad Fairlay doesnt just let him run the show they would be tops then.

This is typical fairlay. Occasionally things break and can take days to fix but your bitcoin is safe. My Interactions over the years with them never make me feel they are looking to rip anyone off but also doesn’t give me the feel they have much interest in being a Sportsbook. This place could have been huge if they put a little effort in. Almost seems like it could be run by someone in govt trying to do some research but has limitations how far they can take it. I doubt it but the way this operation is run makes you scratch your head.

Starting with running it as a .com. It's almost like they think if they run the thing as a big sloppy prediction market the U.S. government won't notice or care that they're also facilitating sports betting. That's going work until it doesn't.

Especially if they're American I understand it's scary to own the risk of booking to Americans and take the full measure of running an offshore enterprise, but this pretense that it's just a platform (Solemnly warning on the homepage the other day that the site was under attack and users should play at their own risk) and that the anonymity of Bitcoin will protect them is pretty irresponsible in its own way. The other shoe can drop and player balances can go poof. I hope they've got a .eu in their back pocket, and can shift gears as smoothly as Bookmaker did when their domain was seized, but it just doesn't seem they think that way.

The ownership is more busy and has higher priority with the blockchain and coding Projects then the SPorts side Stuff which they kinda just stubbled upon. It's been years since the owners have been around. They have minimal if any input at all. It doesn't seem that they were involved in any of the problems the past few years.

they have more input then Raiders thinks. The ownership like I said before are probably some of the smartest blockchain tech, code and crypto guys around. Running a sports style exchange is probably is the least thing they are good at though thats why having Danshan around with his APP, knowledge and CS is a great plus for them. BTW the owners are muti millinoiares and funds their I feel are probably the safest of any book or exchange for USA offshore guys
