Why do these people always lead off with misleading titles and details.

Surely they didn't lock your account BECAUSE you moved down the street.

What difference is moving down the street and moving across the country? Moving is moving right? You could've just said BECAUSE I MOVED. But that doesn't make them look silly.

Will wait for honest details. Next time lead with Bovada locked my account because my address is different than the one on my account.

I don't think the post smells fishy. I do, however, agree that OP is wildly overreacting here. His address changed, so they asked for info and are reviewing his account. Big deal.

If he were talking about a book which had a history of not paying people, I might be a *little* concerned. But he's not, so he needn't worry as long as everything is legit.

So you use an account that you have not used in years, change your address and fail to notify them of the change, and wonder why you did not get paid immediately? ow stupid does that sound? You sound like a phony. Grow up and read what you post.

Update - Reinstated

I was able to determine the root cause here, for those who may experience a similar issue as my account is now reinstated. I own a tech company and use Comcast Business which has nodes all throughout the US, my particular one is in NJ. New Jersey is banned by Bovada. While I am in Houston, which is allowed, they only detected the first leg of the IP trace.

1. I escalated to a supervisor
2. Supervisor checked my IP and notified me that I was showing in NJ
3. I sent the supervisor multiple links showing my IP in Houston (https://whatismyipaddress.com/)

Then the account was reinstated. Hopefully this helps others out and it might be useful to show the steps to resolution mods.

Hopefully it will also help future readers see how normal being asked for ID info is.
