For anyone that put political bets down at Bookmaker, I just noticed this in their House Rules:

For bets on a candidate to win an office, all bets will be graded at the time of the winner’s swearing-in ceremony.

Needless to say, if they actually follow this it makes betting there significantly shittier. President is not sworn in until JANUARY 20, 2021. Which means that Bookmaker will hold your cash for a full ELEVEN WEEKS after the election.

    Buyer beware.

And if you've got a bunch of money on Trump you're going to learn a very expensive lesson. Amazes me to see so many people who think that because he drew an inside straight on the river in 2016 that it's automatically going to happen again when the circumstances are nowhere near what they were back then.
      Actually it is the same.

People were disappointed in Biden Obama for screwing up the country.

Also Hilary was as crooked as they come now we see Joes is as well with him and Hunter as well as how he lost his facilities.

I'm not sure about his facilities, but Biden is definitely losing his faculties.

They weren't disappointed, they were disappointed however when him and joe dug our country out of the worst recession ever that your boy was reaping the rewards of, now joe has to do it all over again thanks to your boy.

True he gets to keep his facilities. It would be just too cruel to take a mans washroom.

              BetOnline and Bookmaker.

PredictIt is good. They will even ACH to your bank your winnings and you can deposit via CC without any trouble and it is all legal. Some limits on how much you can win is the only drawback. The odds are also often pretty square.

Hmm, I wonder if this is a new rule or if that rule was always there and just not enforced. My bets were graded the next day/within days for the '16 election.

Good to know. I emailed customer service to confirm either way but haven't heard back. It could be one of those rules that they have posted but don't generally follow to the letter.

Quite honestly though, there's a good chance that legal challenges could easily hold up the results for weeks or months regardless.

Never seen that before this cycle. I suspect it's because of the Idiot threatening to not leave if he loses. It's precisely why I'm avoiding all POTUS betting this cycle.

My guess is it's a new rule for this cycle given that the current administration is promising to contest the results and saying that the only reason he can lose is if there's massive fraud. It's probably not a bad idea to make sure things are final.

Lines were taken down across the board but now they're back up. I also wonder if any legal challenges would influence grading. It's best to seek clarification now IMO.

Without putting in my inflation-adjusted 2 cents on who should win, I can unequivocally say that back in 2016, my political wagers were graded within a day with bookmaker.

                            However, let's not forget:

                            1) Bookmaker isn't the same book it was back in 2016, at least in my eyes.

                            2) We didn't have to deal with a pandemic and a resulting increase in mail-in votes.

                            3) Once Barrett gets into the Supreme Court (a near certainty at this point), there will be a significant majority of conservative Justices, with 3 of them escorted in by Trump.

                            The ramification is clear.

Biden must win convincingly. Otherwise, there is a good possibility that Trump may take this to the Supreme Court. This, of course, will further delay pay to Biden bettors should he win.

Anyone who wagers on the upcoming presidential election should, imo, just make peace with the possibility that their winning tickets may take longer to settle than it did in the past. Do NOT take as gospel what some csr says in chat or even email.

If it does settle right away, take it as a bonus.

Are there any books other than Bookmaker that are taking bets on state outcomes now? My other outs haven't had lines on states in weeks.

Weeks? Bovada, Sportsbook.ag, the BetOnline family, 5Dimes family, BetPhoenix family and Heritage family have only taken states down for a few days (since Trump announced he's COVID positive). I'm sure they'll be back soon, once the dust from Trump's illness settles.

I hit 5D last year on Hillary in Colorado. I knew all those potheads and California transplants were bringing it home

This year I think a couple of states are interesting. Arizona has been trending Biden for a long time, but I don't see it? Maybe the old people down there are mad about Covid or the high Hispanic population? I still think it goes red. Also Iowa always seems to be on the right side and I think Biden wins. They've been trending trump, but I saw a poll the other day that had it tied. Might get +130 or something for Iowa to go blue? I looked on Betonline and didn't see anything on states?

I would be surprised if state markets even return at any other books. Trump is falling so far so fast that they can't jack the Biden lines up fast enough.

There are always going to be close states, and there are always odds that can accommodate states which aren't close.

Bookmaker and LooseLines have already had states back for a little while. BetOnline has confirmed that states will be coming back soon. And I doubt very much that BAS (5Dimes platform) won't be bringing states back given their history. They probably just can't answer that question right now.

Bookmaker and LooseLines have already had states back for a little while. BetOnline has confirmed that states will be coming back soon. And I doubt very much that BAS (5Dimes platform) won't be bringing states back given their history. They probably just can't answer that question right now.
What are max bets on politics at Looselines? And are they reliable?

$100. Fast limiting book. Used to have pretty bad BTC deposit/payout shortage issues, but it seems to have gotten better lately.

Bookmaker seems to be the best (excepting Betfair)
