NBA Awards - Betonline not grading after announced
NBA Defensive Player of the Year was officially announced yesterday by the NBA, Giannis wins.

Betonline didn't grade yesterday so gave them a day to catch up. Still nothing today so contacted them via chat. Let them know issue, she puts me on hold says she has to contact management.

"Management is waiting for the official announcement from the NBA."

Send her link to to the official announcement from the NBA, on the NBA.com website.

Puts me on hold for another 10 minutes.

"I'm sorry sir, we're still waiting for the official announcement from the NBA."

I just sent you the link. This is on ESPN and all the major sports networks AND IT HAS ALREADY BEEN ANNOUNCED BY THE NBA, YESTERDAY.

"Once we get the official announcement it will be graded."

"Management is waiting for the official announcement from the NBA." is the standard reply every offshore sportsbook customer service gives whenever they have no idea why the wager hasn't been graded yet. As frustrating as it is, it's meant to just make you go away.

I can give you insight into what is going on. BOL is way behind on grading all props and futures for some reason. It's not just your NBA award. For example, wagers on last week's NBA Draft Lottery are still ungraded. This is unusual for them. Just be patient.

I appreciate the information about other props, but man that is concerning to hear. Betonline seems like one of the bigger and more stable books but shit like this makes me question whether they're having serious problems.

Grading bets is a simple process so it can't be a manpower issue. That really leaves liquidity as the only answer, which really sucks.

I sent a message to Dave Mason on Twitter since he's usually good about responding to this type of stuff and haven't heard anything back.

Given that I have a shitload of futures $ wrapped up in BOL I really hope there's a good explanation for this.

I would't worry. I'm pretty sure the group of people who run these particular markets is very small - like one or two people. Something like a family issue could set them back a few days.

Update: Dave Mason responded to me this morning on twitter and said he would look into it. Few hours later it was graded.

Congrats! I noticed that win in my graded wagers this morning too. There's still a very big backlog on wagers pending grades tho.
