#6One option worth trying right now would be on-sending it as soon as you see it on the blockchain (still unconfirmed)
If you send it to yourself with a large fee (double what is optimal at the time) then a miner will pick up that second transaction faster and have to confirm both to get paid for the second one.
There are a couple of accelerator services as well

What’s your take? Move it or leave it?
https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ still says you can get into the next block with a fee level of 74 satoshi per byte.
I would probably double that number just to be safe.
But honestly not sure why the longer than normal queue. The halvening means half the reward for miners. Maybe some hit critical profit level and are pulling out or swapping rigs to other coins. I am just pulling theories out of the air though. Have not searched btc news..Comment -

#12Actually, looking at https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ I see there has been a big number of transactions today who have done what I said about using a double fee.
There have been 50% more transactions using 99+ satoshi per byte than there has been transactions requested at optimal of 72
People doing that is probably whats bogging it all down, they keep jumping queue ahead of optimal fee transfers..Comment -

You can fix this if you send it to yourself again. If your wallet allows you to on-send unconfirmed transactions (I use Electrum which does)
And you're going to need to use triple the optimal fee to get all three levels of the transaction into the next block..Comment -

#17I think the 1-2 vMB from tip is saying based on your fee for this one Tx, you are at the top of the queue for the next block... but you keep getting stalled there as miners see the calculation to get paid for the last Tx is less profitable than other optimal fee sends waiting..Comment -

#18Originally posted by OptionalOne of the inputs that was used as part of the total amount was sent previously with 28 satoshi per byte and is what is holding you up right now.

I know it seems like an extra redundant step on the surface, but it really is a good habit to always use your own controllable wallet at one end of every single send we make. Means you are never held time hostage by anyone else choosing a low fee to send to you..Comment -

#255 hours is nothing. I'm going on 27 hours with no cofirmations. Lol. I could get the money quicker if it was mailed to me. Fuk bitcoin. Unfortunately it's the only way to fund most books. If it weren't for that I would never use bitcoin.Comment -

#31I thought I understood the blockchain dynamics but 2 months a buddy of mine sent Bovada $500 via bitcoin from his blockchain wallet. He called me because it hadn't cleared in 4 hours so I met him at the local coffee shop and ran it through the Blockchain Search and it hadn't received 1 confirmation and it was going on 5 hours? I tried an experiment and sent $70 from my blockchain wallet and told him we would drink coffee until 1 or both transactions were complete. Much to my surprise the $$$ was in my acct at Bovada before his and it still took another 5 hours making it around 6:30 pm before his $$ was in the book. We both sent it PRIORITY and paid the higher fee so I understand now that I may not know as much about blockchain and the network as I thought I didComment -

#33Originally posted by DontTailMeYour wallet software is estimating the appropriate fee amount when you select "priority". It's possible that the software's estimate wasn't very good when your buddy sent his $500, and you paid a higher fee, which is why it went through much faster.
The algorithm your buddy's software had may not have updated fast enough at the time to account for a growing mempool and used a smaller fee than what would've been more appropriate when yours may have already been updated to account for the large mempool.Comment -

It's good to clean your wallet out completely as often as practicable, so you dont end up with a bunch of "dust" that can end up adding up to a lot of bytes when all used in a send..Comment
