So basically this isn't shady at all. It clearly states a 40x RO in their 1st rule in their T&C.
Let's remember this is completely free money too. No deposit required. Of course there is going to be a big RO.
And they even offered to lower the RO if you made a deposit.

their terms and conditions also say (2.9) that if gambling is illegal in your jurisdiction, they can keep all your money and call the police on you. i suppose that is also fair, since it's in their t&c?

I've already been paid out $5000. My research indicates that this book has had problems in the past but has straightened out recently. Either way, I'm treating it like I treat all the non-A-rated books. Remain skeptical and maintain a low balance.

I treat them the same way. I have received 3 separate four-digit payouts from them. They have never hassled me about any of the payouts.

No it definitely wouldn't be. If they were confiscating money like that all the time there would be a lot of complaints here at SBR about it.

I would like to see a copy of that email if possible. If the email clearly stated 20x and their site says 40x then I would agree they should honor the 20x this time.

And you're free to have an opinion different from mine. I've seen a lot of recent positive posts and no negative ones. I'm aware of past complaints, which is why I keep my risk there low.

If I had zero tolerance for risk, then I would personally be profiting a lot less in this game.
