I don't know, but I can imagine hearing at the time that CS has said only cash money and not bonus money, qualifies for the 20%. Just guessing. But no reason not to ask if you are about to deposit anyway.

There's no reason why the 5% and 20% offers wouldn't be combine able. In fact you can't even deny the 5%, you'll just get it automatically if you deposit via Bitcoin whether you want it or not.
No need to ask or check, it's a guarantee they can be combined.

You can tell before you send it in if you're getting the 5% bonus, they ask you to send 5% less btc. The 5% isn't added after the deposit.

That's how it works. No more extra credit after this or any manual crediting. So I understand why their staff have no clue about it because it's not something that has to do with them.

Not sure really. I did see there price higher than what blockchain showed. But got a tad less when credit to book.

You can always be unlucky with a sudden drop of BTC value just in the period in between sending your BTC and the actual crediting, which can take 10 to 40 minutes. But judging from the BTC value history of today I don't see any big drop apart from one just 20 mins ago, but seeing you deposited about 7 hours ago, no idea.

Yes but Pimike did say he saw a higher price in the cashier than what blockchain.info had at that time. So that is odd then.

When bitcoin is volatile, their price can be very outdated. But in my experience, when you deposit, you'll always get the actual market price. I think that's what happened. The price probably dropped from 6500 to 6200 or something and the cashier didn't update, so he thought he was getting credited at a price of 6500, but it wasn't.

He should contact them and say that he deposited $1000 worth of btc according to market value, which is verifiable on blockchain, and then say he was only credited $1000USD in his acct.
