Thank you for sharing the email. We will discuss the handling of account closures with management. Pending bets and futures should be honored in our opinion when there are market exits. Once the bets are voided, though, it's tough to turn back as then some players will choose to want the $ instead, especially if the market moved against them.

It is early days. Regulation will feel fine for rec bettors but it will feel more and more like a restriction for serious bettors as time goes on.

It probably takes no more than a letter from the new regulatory agency to get these big locally legal offshore operations to comply.

There was not much in the way of scary laws that were easy to prove and prosecute before. Now in NJ there is probably massive penalties for easy to prove breaches like marketing in the state without a license.

Betonline has as high or higher limits for me than any new jersey book I have used (especially when you consider the rebet function) They have many faults, but running away from high rollers feels illegitimate to me.

I wish we could know about other states but it seems like it will be status quo until each state bothers to warn offshore, which could happen anytime without warning. Given NY's track record of scrutinizing gambling, dfs, and being one of the states blocked from some offshore sites in the past, I would guess sooner rather than later...

I have had A books cancel wagers without just cause (multiple times). I have had B+ books get up and run away with my and other players money. Dont have to worry about any of that with new jersey books. yes offshore has its advantages, but to act like there is no advantage to the safety of funds onshore sites provide is a bit disingenuous or ill-informed.

Quick update:

Betonline waived 24,000 worth rollover so I could cash out. Put the cash out request for Lowvig and Betonline at around 7 pm. Bitcoin was in my wallet 3 hours later. Props to betonline. Will really miss using them. Sad set of circumstances, but appreciate the service in getting the money quickly. Won't be same without the fun scratch cards showing up, even though you already know what each of the bonuses are already.

You think states are going to give licenses to companies which haven't been paying US taxes for years? Not going to happen when there are plenty of casinos ready to take over this new space. And those casinos have lobbyist to make sure the competition stays on the outside looking in.

Agree, if legally possible. When Pinnacle left the US market they allowed all future bets to stand, and paid them out months later.
