LooseLines Adjusted My Balance to $0.00
Has anybody had problems with balances going missing or even trying to contact LooseLines?
I logged into my account last night and my account was showing $0 it should have been the best part of $1000.
When I went to my account section the entire balance was taken because of “ACCRUAL ADJUSTMENT” on 05/10/2009 01:00 PM.
I’ve not placed any bets for several weeks and made no withdrawal requests.
I tried contacting live chat, which was off line, and still is today.
I’ve also rang the phone number to no avail and emailed several times, again no reply.

Like to hear how this is resolved as I have $$$ at LL.

PS: I called 866-921-2533 and they do answer their phone.

I’m glad to confirm that my money has been put back into my account.
Was unable to contact direct to LooseLines so contacted Jazz sports.com (part of DPT Sports Group including LooseLines).
The live chat operator said accounting had taken the balance out because the account had been dormant for several months.
True I hadn't placed bets for several months, however I did log into my account at least once a week.
Thanks for the advice and to Lou and SBR’s help to bring this problem to a fast end.

wtf? that's a shady practice, they zero out your entire balance if you haven't placed a wager in a few months?

that's v rogue behaviour. i have tons of books that i haven't placed a wager since football season ended, that alone does not give the book the right to alter your balance

                  Wtf, talk about shady.

I hadn't used my BetJamaica account from mid-sept until mid-apr [7 months] and there wasn't a single cent missing. Hell, I'm pretty sure I hadn't logged in during that time either. You should be able to leave your account for YEARS without an issue.

Honestly, how do people still play at these shady books. Actually, I don't know why everyone hasn't moved over to Matchbook. It is pretty much a 3c line on baseball - that isn't beatable worldwide. On totals alone it reduces your required win% to breakeven from 52.3%, to 50.7%. You can almost hit 50.7% flipping coins!

That is a little sketchy for sure, zeroing out a balance, claiming it was done by "accounting".

The mgr I spoke with did claim that removing balances due to 'dormancy' is not something done very often, and actually surprised him.

They are going to discuss putting up a clear policy in their TOS addressing dormancy.

i don't think you understand the bone of contention here, the rogue behaviour here is NOT that the book does not have a clear & specific dormancy clause.

it's that they consider an account that is logged into frequently and a "few months" void of wagering activity DORMANT in the first place! that's aboslutely absurd, a dormancy rule is inapplicable unless we are talking about a minimum period in terms of YEARS (~5 years or so imo) with NO loggin activity and NO wagering activity.

imagine if this is standard industry policy in large volume books! say a trader with 6 digit balance passes away, there will at least a period of few months before the rightful next-of-kin gain access to all his financial records
