Anyone else send money order to pinnacle via Canada Post?
Thursday, 02/26 I sent out a Money Order for 2370.00 to Pinnacle using Canada Post. I realize FedEx is the shipping method recommended by Pinnacle to get deposits there fastest, but Canada Post is right by my house and I was able to wait a week instead of 2 days. I'm able to track my shipment through the Canada Post site and 02/27 it says it has left the country, and 02/28 it says it has reached the destination country (Netherlands Antilles).

Now I do not understand how I have received no updates on what the **** is going on with my money, and how it still isn't there. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since I sent it out, and I was hoping to have it for Friday when the CIS Final 8 starts (it's like a small version of the NCAA March Madness Tourney except Canadian colleges/universities). I have e-mailed Pinnacle that I am disappointed this is so difficult and taking so long after all the good things I've heard about them, but they say they recommend FedEx for fast shipping and have no idea where the money order could be right now. I realize they really have no control over the package arriving there though, just was wondering if this is a normal amount of time for Canada Post to take, but they didn't answer that.

So anyone here use Canada Post before? Trying to stay calm here, but a little worried that my money is just gone somewhere and lost in the mail. So if anyone that's used CP before can assure me it will eventually get there, hopefully at least by next Thursday for the tourney, I would feel much better.

    TIA

Far as I know, the maximum amount for a money order in Canadian or US dollars is $999.99. Maybe your figure was mistyped?

Never sent a money order to Pinny. Can't help you with that.

I got paid by a book recently who paid me from the US, then shipped it via USPS to Canada Post. IT TOOK TEN DAYS TO GET TO ME. They are a "WTF" company. I had a tracking number and everything, but good old Canada post left the envelope sitting in customs for over a week, no idea why.

      Not the books fault.

Anything $1000 and over they need to check out before you send. That's at least why told me at the bank. I have the receipt and everything for the money order and it is 2370.

Ah, alright. So this is pretty much just a normal shitty job being done by Canada Post? Definitely will avoid using these guys in the future.

          Thanks.

Sorry, I'm half asleep. You didn't say a Canada Post money order. The figure I gave is for that. My bad.

C-rok, in the past I had to wait a ridiculous 40 days from the time I sent my money order via Canada Post until it showed up in my account. Now this was years ago (2000) and was SportsInteraction as oppossed to Pinnacle, and hopefully it was an isolated case but I fully understand how maddening this can be. To be fair though, I was never sure if the delay was caused by the mail carrier or the sportsbook.

40 days? Yeah, that is pretty ridiculous, especially when you're trying to fund the acct for a tournament that only lasts a couple of weeks, and the main days are the first four.

I have to assume this is a Canada Post problem as I've heard great things about Pinnacle before, so I don't think it's them just taking a lot of time to process the money order.

What really bugs me is that they were able to get it to the destination country within 40 hours, but they can't get it to a specific place in that country for another 14 days+ ?

Hopefully this gets taken care of before next Thursday, but I can't see myself using Canada Post to fund an acct again after this.

Thank god, the acct was funded today for 2607.00 (pinnacle bonus). Just in time for the tournament.
