    Wanted: Great Advice
So I just got this email from BetUs.com, it says they give 100% freeplay bonus with 5x rollover and 100% insurance on first bet (meaning you get say 500 hundered back if you bet 500 and lose on your first bet) with 3x rollover. This sounds like a very good deal to me but is it?

    Thanks guys

Based on the past behaviour of this book, I would suggest: "NO"

It's a Russian roulette type situation. There are many who play at BetUS and never have a problem(Including myself in my young and foolish years), but this site (and others) have a multitude of threads detailing negative experiences with this sportsbook.

I bet the canadians were/are surprised by this jewel in there T&C.

It is your responsibility to find out what the online gaming laws are in your country prior to registering with BetUS.com, or placing a wager. For your reference, the current list of countries where you are prohibited from playing for real money at BetUS.com are as follows:
Netherlands, Canada, Costa Rica, Panama, Netherlands Antilles, Philippines

BetUS.com will continue to update this list as necessary. This list was last updated July 2008.

While betus is legit and they have paid me several times, I really prefer greek, betjm. I do not usually take bonuses because of the rollover requirement.

Why should Canadians be surprised? Some books don't want friction with the Canadian gov't for one reason or another. Maybe they are operating on Indian land within Canada, or using the Canadian banking system, or payment processor based in Canada...

checks from betus come from kahnawake gaming so yes their bank is in Canada.

Kahnawake is the Indian reserve. They're being used as a safe haven by many gaming sites. No surprise here.
