    No.

I use CIBC. I use "verified by ****", which Moneybookers accomodates.

Scotia seems to be the only one of the big 5 that is trying to crack down on gaming related transactions.

Agreed Dwaechte.....In April, I switched from Scotia to TDBank after I was told that Scotia would no longer process Moneybookers transactions for me. The woman who called me from Scotiabank was definitely on a crusade and left no doubt whatsoever that my Moneybookers involvement was criminal and as such I was the scum of the Earth.....And I'm completely serious.....

I have only done it once or twice but no problems. I use TD Canada Trust.

I can only say "ditto" to what everyone is saying about Scotiabank. I have a contact who was totally screwed around by those lunatics. Crazy story. Don't get me started.

I read around the forums and heard similar stories about Scotia. I'm not depositing an insane amount of money.. $500 bucks tops so I don't see why I'd encounter any problems.

another way to deposit is to get a prepaid ********** at moneymart ... you can load it up with a max of $5000 and can use it at online sportsbooks ... this is a good idea if you have a lot of cash around and don't want to deposit it into a bank account and then go through moneybookers or instadebit ... goes directly from cash into your sportsbook account through the prepaid ********** ...

I would also like to chime in on the ScotiaBank bashing, as they are horrendous...I've haven't heard of a single instance whereby any other Canadian bank went on an Anti-Moneybookers crusade. I recall a time hearing that somebody was once called into a bank to explain their multitude of Moneybookers transactions (Believe the bank in question was TD), but they certainly did not stop Moneybookers transactions once it was explained.

Plus the Scotiabank rep who I talked with was an unbelievable bitch, like no other "Service Representative" I have ever dealt with before or since, in any industry.....

I helped my buddy who had the big Scotiabank issue. His actually had nothing to do with Moneybookers - it began when he tried to get them to clear USD cheques from third party processors.

After the several months he waited for them to give him back his money, we sent in a written complaint. I have it here in my files. It is 4 pages long - and it doesn't actually cover all the madness.

                          4 PAGES !!!

I'm wondering if I should copy it here. It's kind of funny as I recall, and I suspect some of you would relate. But it's 4 pages (and doesn't actually have anything to do with the topic).

But if anyone wants to see it for shits and giggles, let me know.

What the hell would be the problem?

                                Never knew this about Scotiabank.

Can you deposit and withdrawal to and from a CC with Moneybookers? Because I can't use MB with Presiden't Choice.

the withdrawal to cc is an option for europeans only , depositing with cc depends on your bank

My google search led me to this forum, hope you guys can help. I play a lot of online poker and it seems **** and ********** are cracking down on deposits to gaming sites for Canadians. Neteller no longer allows Canadians to transfer funds to gaming sites. I am having such a frustrating process trying to initiatie an international wire transfer to MoneyBookers. What are our best options? Paying into casinos and then waiting 4 weeks for a check that costs 35$ to withdraw from the site is not a great one. That prepaid card sounds interesting but can you withdraw and cashout easily and relatively cheaply? Would really love some advice, thanks a lot if you have any.

There are a few different angles to approach that question. Yes, Neteller is long gone.

I don't know why you would be having trouble initiating a wire to Moneybookers (assuming you are not using Scotiabank). I have done it many times. I just follow the instructions on the website.

What I don't do by Moneybookers , I generally do by Western Union or Moneygram.

There have been times in the past I have sent cheques (bank drafts) by courier and that worked just fine too.

Different methods have different pros and cons. It just depends what the site you are looking at supports.

I guess there other methods too but those are the ones I have first-hand experience with.

So I noticed with MB that if you try to deposit with a c.c. they ask if it is for gaming purposes. Is this because of a ****/********** gaming restriction? So if I transfer money via wire, will I still have MB asking if I will be using the money for gaming?

I don't know how to answer other than what has already been said in this thread. Looks like people are able to do this no problem. Just not if you use Scotiabank.

If they do, just say yes. Moneybookers knows that all those merchants are gaming sites. It has special Professional Gambler accounts. You don't have to worry about Moneybookers being anti-gambling.
