Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) freezes player's account after $8,000 withdrawal request

The player states Oddsmaker locked his account in mid-November after an argument with a live chat representative. He is told that only a manager named Tony, who has not been available, can make decisions on his account. Oddsmaker has not responded to SBR inquiries.

Why would anyone play at a place that is rated D- by SBR ?

usually they google "their book name" + "payout problem" after something happens

Fyi, it looks like this dispute might be resolved. They investigation of the player's account is over, and his 8k is in payout processing now.

I guess they didn't check SBR's ratings before playing there.

Or maybe they read other forums where such a book would advertise.

People new to sportsbooks don't know about SBR. There are several sportsbook "watchdog" sites that are really just selling advertising space to books.

I joined the book I did when I first started because soemone I trusted recommended them. I didn't find SBR until after i had a problem. I didn't know anything about online sportsbooks and because someone I trusted recommended the one I joined I didn't research them using Google. Learned a hard lesson.

I'll bet that Tony's middle name is "The".
