I thought about just riding out my futures bet here with Spain and Germany and I really hope we see that a Spain/Germany final and not Portugal/Germany matchup again, but I really dont see much chance here for Italy or Portugal but who knows what can happen if it gets into extra time. I am seeing alot of punters on Portugal on the boards and having guys like Ronaldo and Pepe who play in La Liga and these h2h stats are pretty interesting, but I just think Spain has too much talent here for Portugal. Spain has looked really strong in the back with Ramos and Pique and they have one of the best goalkeepers in the world with Casillas.
Ronaldo is capable of winning this game for Portugal but the midfield dominance of Spain and the domination of possession by Spain here should eventually be too much. Portugal just doesnt have the kind of midfield to handle Spain and Portugal will probably play back for the counter but I am trusting Ramos and this pretty impressive defense this tourney to handle Pepe and Ronaldo. The midfield is where I think Spain will just control this game, I havent been that impressed with what I have seen from Moutinho or Veloso and this spanish formation should be brutal on these guys.
I just cant see how this turns into a high scoring game unless Portugal falls behind and starts giving up a lot of space, seems like a 1-0, 2-0 spanish win, I just hope spain doesnt play too conservative and this one goes into extra time or PKs. I would normally just play with props here and ride out the futures but I really havent seen many props I like. Just going with Spain here in regulation and the -1 line
